It will be interesting Parra have Easts,Wests,Souths & Penriff on their way home. If they win 2 of these, they will be on the cusp.

Poor choice of words or Freudian slip? If it's their job, then they shouldn't be there.

What game should have they chosen? Eastwood v Gordon....no thanks Souths v the Riff....nope Manly v Parra ...with all respect to Parra, you would have to be joking Norths v Uni.....Another mismatch Rats v Easts...If Easts have their way,it will be a dour arm wrestle,if they don't it will be a...

That might be faire, but not better. With your model,ARU funds could be used in a bidding war between franchises for a handful of players. The end result being that 5 or 6 of the highest profile players share the top up pie, instead of the 15 or whatever that currently share the pie.

That all sounds great theoretically. In practical terms, you are fucking kidding about many coaches/ teachers being more concerned about life lessons than winning. It would be interesting to see how many classes many teachers who are also 1st XV coaches actually do. In any event, I have been...

It's possible, but they are up against it. Souths are 1 point behind with an easier run home. If they can't beat West a Harbour this week, then it's all over IMO.

Much better? They finished last year with 7 wins for the year. I project they will finish this year with 8 wins. With all the talk from many on the forum, about Cheika directing players there. I would have thought it closer to a fail than a pass.

How can he drop any player, but still keep the 9 in 1's? It would appear that anyone but Windon is the preferred 15 down there.

You sure he doesn't spend his off season in Sydney? Be interesting to know where he makes the most cash.

    I don't think TT wants a 10, more a 7 that can also kick.

The success of League players in Rugby Union

The bit i loved, was good Old Gus waxing lyrical about what happens when the ball player gets his hand on the ball. Gus,ball players are supposed to pass the fucking ball. There are plenty of props, trundling around in 4th grade with more ball skills than that numpty. Anyway.......

I think that Naiyaravaro was signed, because Cheika had put a line through Crawford's name.

I'm the reverse Hawko. I didn't understand The Kingston decision, but 2nd season syndrome or not,it would be negligent to re sign him on the form he has displayed all year, in 3 different levels. He should be dominating SS,and he is not.

    Waratahs 2015

I have seen Cam play quite a few games this year. At The Next Gen level,he did not impress at all. At SS level, he was just OK. He ran some good lines, made a couple of good tackles. But he did not excel in any SS game I have seen. IMO, there are several SS teams he could not make the run on...

I think you sum it up when you say talent in the making. Has it really got to the stage where you have to take a punt on youngsters? A really good example is the 13 in the Oz 20's squad. I understand he has just signed with a French side. Yet he has never played Shute Shield. The incumbent in...

    Shute Shield 2014

Without doubt, the most salient point on the thread. I have on occasions been critical of both Uni & Manly. But there is no doubt in my mind that they are two of the most hardworking clubs in the comp. It's no surprise that hard work is reflected in results.
