J'OC won't be playing 12 for the Wallabies

Another Bruce Ross quote that should make it to the G&GR Hall of Fame

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Never thought of that but it makes a lot of sense! Another trick learned from the pro's at G&GR.

    Waratahs 2012

With Barnes future now in considerable doubt and Beale off to the Rebels, the team that most needs to sign JOC (James O'Connor) next year is the Tahs. With Hangers our only playmaker with any experience and no one in the academy squad that looks mature enough yet I suspect our new marquee signing might be an...

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Moses, I don't understand White (unless its Jake). Brumbies won't play him at all I think?

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Alberts is on the bench!!!! Thank you Mr Plumtree! I now have to sell him so I can keep Messam on the bench for the bye. But I've already got four changes to make! Something's got to give and maybe it'll be my brain.

    Force v Hurricanes 2011R15

I think the Force's chances in this game depend on Stannard playing out of his skin. If he directs them around the park like he did our seven's team last year this could be a major upset. His short kicking game is good but his long game is a mystery to me. I looked through the two packs man...

    Reds v. Crusaders, May 29th, Suncorp - 2011R15

It aint that good either. Their specialist writers make major mistakes of fact. If Lee or Austin made factual mistakes like Spiro does half of G&GR would die of shock! And their occasional writers all want to tell you how hopeless the Tahs are and how they only watch them so they can write...

    Sharks v. Tahs - 2011R15

Just seen it announced on the Rugby club that Kaplan has been given the Tahs - Sharks match, one which could make or break each team's season. This is almost beyond comprehension given Kaplan's history. We've already had him once already and he made some bad blues including ruling a mystifying...

    Reds v. Crusaders, May 29th, Suncorp - 2011R15

Crusaders have selected their best-scrummaging front row for this game. Surprise, surprise. If Slipper can hold up Fainga'a and Daley he will be an automatic first 15 selection for the world cup. But I fear another scrum massacre coming on.

    SA vs NZ S14 clashes

After last week's game I expected Whiteley to get his spot back, he's been playing well this year and will surely be disappointed. Jantjes performance as a sub last week must have forced the selectors hands with Butch's demotion to 12. Doesn't do James' WC chances much good but that's no loss...

Big rwc news - nine is going to put effort in

The header on this thread is "Big RWC news - Nine is going to put effort in" I agree they will put some effort in, but not very much. Certainly not enough to imperil their hegemony over League. Its just not in their interest to do so. Money talks.

    Sharks v. Tahs - 2011R15

Hickey's bone-headed thinking on "needing to get one win in SA" is exactly why we need a new coach next year. The negativity involved is just palpable and the mindset will influence how we play (gameplan) and what to do if we fall behind. To state the bleeding obvious: "We want to win both...

IRB U/20 Tournament and Oz Squad

If Shipperley is staying with the Reds who is likely to get his spot? I haven't seen any comment on this at all.

2011 S15 Log Conferense Matches Only

Interesting numbers: For the SA teams its clear that the Sharks don't like playing their home conference games. But 3 of the last 4 games are in-conference, so if they continue the trend they will miss out on a finals place. I think the Bulls are well placed to take a spot even if they lost...

    Sharks v. Tahs - 2011R15

Is this definite or is he still a possibility to play?

    Reds v. Crusaders, May 29th, Suncorp - 2011R15

If the Crusaders can be more successful in destroying the Reds scrum then the supporters should be afraid, very afraid.

    Elsom: In or Out?

I think its a bit harsh to blame the captain for the Force's failure to win close games. Did he make specific decisions to take a particular penalty a particular way or to keep the ball in close when spreading it wide was the go? Maybe last Saturday he could have given the ball to Sheehan...

    Shute Shield 2011

Sorry Slash, but I currently reside in Adelaide (for my sins) and only see Southern when they are on I-view. I have no connection with the club and am only a tenuous supporter.

    Reds v. Crusaders, May 29th, Suncorp - 2011R15

But that was before they lost half their potent backline to injury. Those who are predicting that are basing it on the Chiefs game where the Saders had to go back to conservative to win it.

"Saving the Union": Reds' CEO's Views

How do you pre-sell a final or semi-final before you even hook one? When I was a Tah member I got first pick of my seat for semi's and finals but I had to pay the asking price (which I gladly did).
