Mexicans? Everyone north of the border refers to us as that anyway.

    Rebels 2014

Doubt that will happen. He appears to be a different beast down here. Leadership has done good things for Higgers. Personally I like the idea of giving the VC role to a young back who has future leadership aspiration and has the capability. It shows the Club is committed to properly...

    Rebels 2014

Oh Captain, my Captain. Seemed like a no-brainer decision for me. Higgers to lead the Rebels in 2014. Bloody ripper move. Congrats Higgers...

    Rugby Jerseys and Merch Deals

Nice price. Hope a bit more of that makes it onto the 12 days of Christmas sale.

    Super Rugby Membership Watch

Looks like rebels have hit 4101. Adam Frier even made a movie about it.

    S18 on its way

Sorry, don't agree with you on this. I'm personally fan of the local derby's. I know that doesn't suit the SA teams as they play a number of them every year. Perhaps that may change with the national 3rd tier comp we're going to establish, but for now I love a bit of state vs state battles...

    Rugby Jerseys and Merch Deals

New Rebel jesery launched, and it's cheaper than last year. http://blksport.com/news/melbourne-rebels-2014-jersey.html Also the KooGa/BLK 12 days of Christmas sale is back on. Lots of good deals there.

And this still drags on. Back to 17 team (including one from argieland) and a round-robin format. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/rugby-union/super-conferences-may-be-abandoned/story-e6frg7o6-1226774570237#

    Rebels 2014

Always nice to see a reduction in price for gear. Not sure how many people are on the KooGa/BLK mailing list, but the 12 days of Christmas sale is on and for three days in a row cheap Rebels (albeit KooGa branded) gear has been on. I managed to pick up a grey hoodie for $25; sadly my...

All you need is white shorts and white scrum cap and we can start calling you the New South Wakes Smurfs.

    Rebels 2014

I concede we had some shockers, but there were times that we held together, set reasonable platforms and won decent turnover ball. Think our loose play was more of a standout, so can see why we'd want to get the rucks more consistent so we set better platforms for the backs. Thing I see is we...

    Rebels 2014

Tony certainly wants to make his mark - get ready for a more 'defensive' focus next season. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/rugby/melbourne-rebels-coach-tony-mcgahan-altering-sides-gameplan-ahead-of-2014-season/story-fnibc6qy-1226774516854 Article talked about the greater emphasis on...

    Rebels 2014

Would agree with you - the way Folau is playing it will be hard pressed to squeeze him out of the 15. Think Beale is going to have a massive problem trying to land the 15 jumper at the 'tahs, let alone the Wallabies. What I think Woodward can offer is excellent cover accross 11, 14 and 15 so...

The more mischievous would have probably given Phillips an uppercut to his nuts, but probably would have missed everything. Are they going to cite Phillips for that crap, or are they just gonna let that slide?

Looks like Woodward is keen to stay in Melbourne and become a Wallaby. Please please please sign him up ASAP. http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=8764744

The replacement? God he was huge - I think I found the guy who ate all the pies. Just a scrummaging machine, but I reckon his work around the park may be a little weak. Imagine him against your new boy Johnson Falefa - like crashing two polar bears together.

Completely soft and unnecessary card. Guess that what happens when you play wayne barnes lottery. Then again what about the card for Beggar before the half? Maybe he was trying to balance with some weird type of consistency. Certainly wasn't reflected in the first 40 penalty count.

    Wales v Wallabies, Cardiff, Nov 30 2013

Similar happened to the Rebels v Force in Perth this year. JOC (James O'Connor) passed a quick ball to Woodward to get some meat. You could see JOC (James O'Connor)'s hands throwing ball in backwards motion, ball was received behind the passer (marginally, I accept) but the main thing to see was the hands were moving in a...
