New Zealand vs Argentina, Nov 28, 2020

Neither team are handling the conditions. Which is not surprising but I’m hopeful it will set it up for us next week.
  2. KOB1987

New Zealand vs Argentina, Nov 28, 2020

I think NZ will win but I’m not seeing a bonus point at this stage.

New Zealand vs Argentina, Nov 28, 2020

The only area the All Blacks have an advantage is the scrum. The Pumas need to bring on their proper front row at half time and it’s game on.

    Wallabies 2020

Yes and no. The deal with Pau is only for the end of this year/early next year and was signed at the height of the Covid situation. He will back for the end of SRAu/TT and certainly for the inbound tests. I think the ball is completely in his court, given he’s now locked in a Wallabies jersey...

    Australia v Argentina - 21 November, Newcastle

He would have had to wait for Petaia to level up with him and then go from a standing start.

If you aren’t starting Savea surely he would be #20?
  7. KOB1987

    Wallabies 2020

I think there is zero chance of either of those happening. Purely contingency planning, which I like.
  8. KOB1987

    Australia v Argentina - 21 November, Newcastle

haha. its hard to tell these days, if there is a compromise I'm open to it
  9. KOB1987

New Zealand vs Argentina, Nov 28, 2020

Yeah I'm not so sure Nick. The sensible for thing for Foster to do would be to run out largely the same team (pretty close to their best) and give them the opportunity to regroup, the alternate thesis would be to make wholesale changes. Both scenarios could go pear.

I'm not too concerned about the performance and am actually pretty upbeat about the future, we are a very green team and the coach is entitled to experiment at this stage of the cycle. Aside from Hooper, Koroibete and possibly AAA & Hodge, our most experienced players are either injured or out...

Disagree. If someone is cynically lying on the ball they need to be discouraged from doing it again. Head and nuts have always been off limits and that gentleman’s rule stays in place.

^^^ dru, the problem with Banks isn’t dropping bombs, it’s having zero impact, and his other errors. I want to see what Hodge can do from back there, and he deserves a shot.

    Australia v Argentina - 21 November, Newcastle

Whilst most of this post is correct you are still going to lose most viewers at your insistence of dropping Koroibete. He’s a winger, and while he’s not faultless his pros FAR outweigh his cons.

    Australia v Argentina - 21 November, Newcastle

The silver lining to all of this is that it has invigorated an interest in rugby while there is little competition for eyes. The best outcome next week is that either team wins a nail biter without a bonus point, and then we need to put the Argies to the sword to take the silverware.
  17. KOB1987

    Australia v Argentina - 21 November, Newcastle

And yes I agree with this.
  18. KOB1987

    Australia v Argentina - 21 November, Newcastle

I understand the decisions to not take the points as we were trying to force the yellow card. Those decisions should have been vindicated when the Argentinian doofus was holding on to the ball in the ruck late in the first half but for some reason he wasn’t binned. We finally got the card soon...
  19. KOB1987

    Australia v Argentina - 21 November, Newcastle

Rebels3 is right though. We need to play the next game with a test match structure, which means if JOC (James O'Connor) is unavailable Lolesio or Harrison have to play 10. We can get away with playing Hodge there as a contingency plan and he deserved a second crack last night, but it’s passed it’s expiry date...

I’m ok with the scratches . I grew up with them, as I’m sure many others here did. I’ll take 50 scratches for a fullback that gives a fuck.
