I stand correct. I googled it and everything - I just probably should have read the link I found a bit better :)

    Rebels 2020

Question for the Rebs fans - what were your thoughts re Pone Fa’amausili. I know he got pinned twice for breakdown penalties - 1 of which I thought he was probably unlucky, but otherwise I thought he did some pretty good things. I’ve only watched the game once and haven’t looked at any stats...

Robust is one word for him. :) I’m not sure he is underrated any more Bobby. I think Thorn is just a bit stuck trying to balance his side, particularly around the goal kicking.I know JOC (James O'Connor) stepped up at the end, but there is obviously some reason that Hegarty assumes the duties early on. And...

    Wallabies 2020

I am working of the assumption that the trained medical staff that they have looking after his recovery are concerned about his well being. I think the concerns around his injury history also ignore that he has had 3 seperate, unrelated injuries. He keeps getting compared to CFS - but Chris has...

Thanks Brumbieman - thoroughly enjoyed watching that

Shoulder from memory. Certainly I’d rather they hold him back then risk bringing him back early, but if he is fit and in form I’d definitely find a spot for him. And his best spot might be 13, but he is also an excellent winger.

No - Douglas was capped for Scotland. I don’t think there is any risk of TK being left out barring injury. Even if Petaia comes back and kills it I would say there is more chance of them picking both.

    Wallabies 2020

Petaia is supposed to be back in 3-4 weeks, so he should have time to prove he is recovered. I have no probs with him being at 14 initially and leaving TK at 13. To me that is probably better then picking one of them at 13 and a lessor winger - although I feel Daugunu, Wright and/or Kellaway all...

2020 Super Rugby Round 1 (REDUX): Reds v Waratahs

I think the skill levels are better this year then they were last year, and they were better last year than the year before. The new brigade coming through weren’t raised solely to bash and crash like a lot of guys were 10 years ago. The basic skills pre-COVID were actually quite good across...

Yeah, probably - but that’s the team I’d like to see

2020 Super Rugby Round 1 (REDUX): Reds v Waratahs

Good review Bobby. I am surprised by some of the negativity about the game. I thought it was good watching. Good to see two teams getting stuck into each other.

    Wallabies 2020

Interesting to see the different views. I think there is a realistic argument for any of the 4 options. I do think some people should be cautious of much weight the put in Rennie picking the player they think is most in form. Experience and game style will certainly be factors. If I were to...

2020 Super Rugby Round 1 (REDUX): Reds v Waratahs

I get that - although to be honest I don’t feel ‘sorry’ for him as such. Not do I think Penney necessarily did the wrong thing by him. No doubt Bell was frustrated and disappointed in himself. He’s a pro rugby player and a bloody good one who, from my long distant view, seems to love the...

    Reds 2020

Yeah - it’s been reporting. But I’m assuming that is more a contingency. I think he actually packed at lock there last night when Tupou was off. I’d hate to have to rely on him at lock for an extended period - although in the current situation it may still be the best option available from the...

2020 Super Rugby Round 1 (REDUX): Reds v Waratahs

Haha - I hope you are not suggesting that the ref should penalise the dominant prop in that example KOB. I can’t agree with you at all if you are.

2020 Super Rugby Round 1 (REDUX): Reds v Waratahs

I’d argue there’s a false equivalence in McDuling’s post though. The attack has a chance to expose a wingers lack of Pace or a centre’s defence and convert it directly to field position or points. But a prop can successfully (intentionally or not) stop the progress of an attacking scrum by...

2020 Super Rugby Round 1 (REDUX): Reds v Waratahs

Yeah, I noticed that. I am a bit disappointed though that Horan didn’t needle him a bit to wind him up some more. On a completely non-rugby matter, how good was Horan’s metallic silver mullet at half-time??? Edit : Dismal I’m a bit surprised/disappointed that it hasn’t already got a run in one...
