The split of AFL and NRL from Rugby and Football in around 2013 is incredible. What happened?

    Those are rookie numbers.

Yeah I suppose the counter-point is the continued selection of Wright which is pretty baffling. We've plenty of other wingers who would do a perfectly solid job without the brain-farts. Even someone like Muirhead.

Yeah - by the players. It's hardly 'discarding' someone if they are a bit shit which Vunivalu was. It's test match rugby. Of course form needs to be rewarded and if no one performs then alternatives will be tried. Most of our problems stem from the fact that our players are simply not very good...

I doubt he will be sacked. Although, i doubt he'll be extended either.

Baptism of fire for Jock Campbell. Feels like a very Simone debut. Hope he doesnt just ditch him when France cut us to ribbons.

Not sure about Skelton from the bench, particularly if a jumper goes down injured.

Presumably RUPA will have a big say

Applies to basically any player but a handful.

    Big shame Pone isn't fit

The French arrogance is what makes them so fun. Some of their meltdowns in Football when the results haven't matched their expectations have been phenomenal entertainment.

Is he more physical in open play? Hes certainly not more physical on the defensive side and most of his carries come in the loose.

Lolesio was the best performing flyhalf in Super Rugby and has a fair bit of test experience now. You don't develop in the Wallabies. Certainly not with 8 games before the RWC.

    Lions Tour 2025

Be fun to watch a bunch of Super Rugby Pacific players beat the Lions. Still be great fun even if it doesn't include too many test players.

Samu has very little over the ball game and McReight is about the same size as Hoops (maybe even smaller?). Who are you suggesting we pick?

Id be very surprised if it wasn't a full strength side with a little rotation.

Frost seems to be a fairly smart bloke, consummate professional and exceptional athlete. Think he'll continue going from strength to strength.

Jackalling , should it be outlawed

Will turn rugby into league without a tackle count.

Swap Philip for Arnold. Swap White and McDermott. I'd also be surprised if Holloway/Hanigan/Swinton beat Leota into the squad if all are fit. Still think Swinton is the best of the lot though. A bloke not often mentioned who I think should be brought back into the wider squad is Naisarani.
