Here's a radical idea (stay with me folks):- How about selecting props and hookers on their ability at the scrum and lineout? Anything else is a bonus. Scrums and lineouts are too important in terms of retaining/winning ball and not giving away free kicks/penalties. Implement a "No dickheads"...

An import can be head coach/DOR, but IMO an Aussie one is preferable. To think otherwise smacks of xenophobia.

If it's said that a forward can't be head coach/DOR, then by extension of that theory a back can't be head coach/DOR. It's a no-win situation. This is largely why the role of assistant coach was invented.

My comment "Ignorant crowd" was in reference to people being ignorant of the laws of the game. This happens at most grounds. If anyone thinks that I'm anti-Reds, they are sadly mistaken. Some people need a Bex, a cup of tea, and a good lie down.
