    Waratahs 2021

My understanding is that Ned is coming back anyway. I’d go Skelton, kerevi and TN as my top 3.

    Round 5: Rebels v Tahs - Friday 19/3, AAMI Park, 7:45pm AEDT

Perese should be back too right? EDIT: I just realised it's been 3 weeks but only 2 games. The Parkes 7s were on while he was off, surely a missed opportunity to claim a week there!

    Wallabies 2021

Folau type? Like freak value? He’s good but I haven’t seen that yet.

    Wallabies 2021

Yes to Hodge, I forgot about him as a 15. I’ve always thought he has a bit of the Chris Latham’s about him - awkward but elusive, the big boot to go with it, and deceptively quick.

    Wallabies 2021

Petaia has played fullback although I’m not sure at what level. It wouldn’t be a silly move but would rather the Reds see the opportunity first. With the developing depth at 10 and in the centres I reckon JOC (James O'Connor) back there would be a good option. All that said maddocks has been one of the better...

Super Rugby AU 2021 Team of the Week

I picked him too. Most people picked LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) who had 4 runs for a total of 3 metres and missed 4/10 tackles. Swain didn't do much in attack but made 10/10 tackles. My Bradbury pick for this week.

    Waratahs 2021

Where did I say he said they must be coached by an Aussie? What he was saying is that NZ coaches at this level assume a certain skill level, which the current generation of Australian players don’t have. As an example he said he could only kick with one foot, and this needed to be factored into...

    Waratahs 2021

I don’t think anyone disagrees with that but it doesn’t really answer the question. incidentally I was talking to an ex Waratah and Wallaby last night and had a fairly lengthy discussion about the Waratahs issues overall, but with regards to the coaching specifically, the view is that Penney...

    Waratahs 2021

I kind of get your Penney hate, but personally I think the jury is out, a lot of the issues are beyond his control and in any case and he is never going to gat a fair hearing with this lot of cattle. But out of curiosity, even if you are right and its 100% Penney, who should be coaching the...

    Waratahs 2021

I don’t mind there being a high performance team in principle as there are meant to be distinct layers in NSW Rugby. Problem is at the moment there is only one layer and no performance! Does that mean that He is actually going to run for the position next month?? The inference would be that...

    Waratahs 2021

Yeah I’m not so sure. Hopefully we have bottomed out, 2023 is a World Cup year and while that in itself may not be a huge carrot, 2 years after we are hosting a Lions tour and 2 years after that we are hopefully hosting a World Cup. While I can’t speak for specific players, debt funding has...

Super Rugby Au Rnd 3 Waratahs vs Force 5th March, Sydney

It’s fairly common knowledge that the evolution of the Brumbies made them effectively the second NSW franchise. The rest is history. It’s fantasy to think that a third one can be scavenged from the NSW carcass. I do think said carcass can be reincarnated, but it will involve some people with...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I was about to edit that in above! Yes, in the absence of any sort of cross ditch encounters, they will no doubt do the north v south thing and we can hold the inaugural state of the union concept.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Plan b was always an extra round of the respective comps I think. With a 2 week lead in either country but more likely Aus could host a finals series over 2 weekends after that. Not ideal but in the current climate it would be a reasonable compromise ahead of the June tests

    Australian Rugby / RA

OK maybe a state vote and then a franchise vote, but you can't have a situation where say SA has the same voting power as Qld or NSW. Number of registered participants is still the fairest.

I wonder if the constitutional reform will be part of it. The voting structure definitely needs a rethink, it shouldn't be equal votes for every state though, a fluid pro rata arrangement based on the number of registered participants would be the fairest.
