    Kurtley Beale

Why? He wants to play 10. I hope it's true, of course.

    Bakies Banned for 3 Weeks

I haven't seen it, but Bakkies is always due for some cooling-off time in my opinion. Guilty!

I've got a few issues here. (1) I don't agree that figuring out how many points they'll need to get into the finals is useful. Apart from the difficulty of figuring out all the permutations 5 rounds out from the end, it sets the wrong tone for everyone. (2) Nice idea to wind up the Cheetahs...

    Playing rugby in 2009

I can't understand 2nd grade stacking. That is so pissweak. And who would want to play for their 1sts? Are they all hoping they'll play well enough to get a run in 2nds? Softcocks.

    Tahs Vs Bulls

Waugh said that they weren't up for it. No surprise, really. If the piggies can gee up a bit I still think we'll make 4th spot. But a few question marks developing about selections. As you say, fp, BR is an enthusiasm machine. Why he's not there is a mystery. And clearly the backline combos are...

SNK to fly-half to try to save the season. He might throw a couple of intercepts, but he'll get Tahu and Horne interested in the game of rugby again. 10. SNK 11. LT 12. Horne 13. Carter 14. Tahu 15. Turner Use the skip pass from 12 to 14 when possible, or perhaps Carter can be trained into...

Force v Dodgy Facial Hair Canes

That was a couple of shithouse attempts. The real Drew has emerged.

    Tom Carter

That's 3 doctors: Dr Scarfman. We should get jackets to make it official.

    Tahs Vs Bulls

Agreed. A lot of Cullen in him, superb balance and shifts in speed and direction.

    Tom Carter

I agree - Grey was just like Carter, but worth about 1.4 Carters. Better all around, very valuable player at S12 level. I didn't mean to suggest that Tahu was a selfish superstar, just that sometimes you can play a position like Mr Invisible Rueben Thorne and be really effective.

    Tom Carter

The "Blues from Auckland" have 15 players with x-factor and they're sitting mid-table. The beauty of rugby is that it's a genuine team game, and an unextraordinary player like Carter, in his own way, can do more to help his side win than a selfish superstar. I love it.

Best All Black team and opposition named 1984-2008

Excellent team. I think the most influential 6 of the last 25 years was not Willie O. but Owen F. We've only just managed to replace him in the last year or so. I'm also keen on squeezing Joe Roff in there. Tune (at his best) was better, but didn't play many games at that level due to injuries.

Best All Black team and opposition named 1984-2008

No-one better than Meg Marshall? How about a HB who could pass? I'm a huge fan of Goldie. I would pick him ahead of Campo on the same grounds as being picked ahead of Lomu. And Davies over Larkham? No thanks.

    Tom Carter

I don't understand the bagging of Carter. There are plenty of players worth less than 1.0 Carters. Exciting rugby league import Timanu Tahu comes to mind.

    S14 - Halfway Marks

Imagine how much beer I could have bought if they'd won!

    S14 - Halfway Marks

Tell me about it - I took them for the championship at 7/1. Should've bought beer instead.

    Mackay dies

Awful news. I'm sure if anyone hears of ways to help, like the above, they'll be sure to post it. Sincere condolences to his family.
