    Reds vs Bulls - Rd6

The first half of this game just highlighted how important big kev is to the Reds. Despite being a bit rusty, he just leads from the front.

    Crusaders v Kings R6 2013

I've been tipping a belting for the kings since the start. The crusaders finally delivered me some bonus points. The kings just haven't got the depth now the injuries are taking their toll. But I think the honest amongst us will admit that they have been much better than we expected.

To those who decide Aussie player of the Round

Don't make the mistake of taking it all too seriously. Team selections are always subjective. Congrats on the Smithboner though. :)

Ewen McKenzie - Life after the Reds

Anyway to convince Link he can be Wallabies Coach 1 and Jake he can be Wallabies Coach A? They are both too valuable assets to lose out of our coaching depth in Australia. But if I had to pick one I would pick Jake. Purely because I look at the style and attitude of the two teams they have...

Ewen McKenzie - Life after the Reds

Definite first shot. Had to get in early just in case Jake wins the S15 this year :)

Reds v Force, Super Rugby Round 5, 2013

I'd be interested to the stat for how many times Quade is going to the ground with ball per game? If a 10 is going to keep the opposition guessing he needs to attack the line ball in hand enough to keep them on the back foot. At the moment there is no illusion with Quade.

    Western Force 2013

Force 3rd in the Aussie conference. I'm not sure if that pleases, amuses or saddens me.

Reds v Force, Super Rugby Round 5, 2013

I think it's a bit early to be blaming Graham. Don't worry, that time will come, but not yet. The Reds look a shadow of their former selves. Most of the parts are there, it's just not quite clicking. Quade is a talisman for the reds and the start to the year hasn't been ideal. I think Kev...

Reds v Force, Super Rugby Round 5, 2013

Great effort by the boys. Really helped by how terrible the Reds were. Suspect Quirk may find himself fronting the judiciary this week.

Waratahs vs Cheetahs Super Rugby-R5 2013

So who is gonna be playing the Lions for their survival next year? Doesn't look like being the Cheetas at this point. Most likely the kings, but great to see the Cheetahs on the up.

    Rugby TV Shows

Classy performance from Drew Mitchell in the context of the situation he found himself in. The panel members were trying to get him to fling mud for all they were worth.

Brumbies vs Waratahs Super Rugby-R4 2013

I surprised there isn't more discussion from the Tah's supporters about Foley. He certainly wasn't to blame for the loss last nigh, but I have never seen him be anything more than serviceable. Going forward, is he the 10 the Tahs want to build a team around?

Reds v Force, Super Rugby Round 5, 2013

Reds while not out and out impressing, are showing a maturity that allows them to close out games against weaker opposition. The Force would have to have all of the stars align for them to even have a chance. Reds by 18.

Brumbies vs Waratahs Super Rugby-R4 2013

Just can't understand the Tahs failure to fire. Something wrong in the headspace combined with a very uninspiring centres combo. Gutted for Poey. Robbie Deans is a "selection pederast". He will pick Hooper and Gill in the Lions Squad. George Smith won't get a look in.

    Bulls V Force RD 3

Looking on the bright side, at least we managed to execute that game plan. Last year we tried to do similar things and failed to execute them at all.

Law question - TPN's tackling technique

On the chop block thing, they are wearing helmets so it kinda is necessary they aren't allowed to tackle below the waist. I think it has less relevance to our game.

Law question - TPN's tackling technique

I don't have a problem with the rule being revised that the initial contact in a tackle needs to be above the knees if the players are running opposed each other. If the tackling player slips down after the initial contact or they are diving after a player running in the same direction (ankle...

    Stormers vs Chiefs R4

Is Janties the answer at 10 for the Stormers? His playing style seems to be better suited to the Lions less structured game plan.

    Bulls V Force RD 3

One of the biggest factors has to have been the state of the pitch. It looked like they were running on an ice skating rink. Only the Bulls new winger managed to get any swerve on. All of the big boys were pretty much locked into going straight (not such a bad thing). Probably helped the Force...

Should Australia go for the 2027 RWC?

Depends how much the IRB wants for the hosting rights. The price tag has been soaring and pretty much forces the host nation into losing money. I also think it has to go to Argentina first and be offered to Italy (I doubt they could afford it at the moment) before it comes to us again. All...
