Line-out Laws & Tactics, any fellow back rowers out there? Need advice!

I need some advice from Flankers/Back rowers, or really anyone who’s played, or/& refereed plenty of Rugby. I’ve been playing for a while and I do my own thing come second phase play & open play but at set piece time I’ve always seemed to just do as our fly half/scrum half has told me to do. Now...

Sydney women's comp - 2 rounds to go

Hey there Karinc I play for Newcastle University (the angry seahorses) hence my name. We won yesterday in a tight one & are in the grand final. I'm sure Sydney Uni deserve their place, should be interesting. Oh yeah Newcastle as in NSW Australia, some people always seem to think I mean...

    Newcastle Hunter Rugby Union

Thanks for asking AD. 17-14 to the good girls. Very hard game. Relieved for now more than anything as we had a form slump at the end of the rounds & still need to improve. There will be no relaxing over the next fortnight till the Grand Final as both teams left quite a few points out on the...

    Newcastle Hunter Rugby Union

A good article outlining what is believed to be the top contenders for the end of this years premier 1 mens comp is below. I have to say from what I've seen Merewether-Carlton and Hamilton may well be in the GF. I'm hoping for the Uni boys to string some wins together to remain in contention...

Sydney women's comp - 2 rounds to go

A team mate of mine up in Newcastle, Aus who used to play for Warringah said the Sydney comp has been dominated by Warringah & Sydney Uni so I'm hoping for Merrylands to get up. In Newy my own team is looking to end another clubs dominance as well so maybe this could be the year of the under dog.

    Joost van der Westhuizen

Just an update on Joost and his health. Sad news that he has this horrible disease. http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news-sport/springbok-legend-has-lou-gehrigs-disease-20110728-1i220.html I cant remember if there was already a thread that talked about Joost so I decided to create this one.

    Tri Nations - AUS v SAF 23rd July 2011.

Diggers has been awesome this game. Not to mention McCabe, and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) did much better this game. Not the blow out score I wanted but I'm not going to get disheartened by that as theres lots of good things to take out of this game.

Tuned in specifically to see how he would go, very positive, a bit of a high hit from a penrith prop tested out the old noggin. We need him back.

    NZ v Fiji Test 22/Jul/2011

FT All Blacks with 60-14 win over Fiji who at times, particularly in the 2nd half played very well. Lowest score NZ has ever put on the Fijians.
