Heyneke Meyer, your thoughts on the new Bok coach?

Finally we see some organisation happening. God knows it's been a while.

    Victor Matfield's Comeback

My news from Pretoria is that this is highly unlikely. Hopefully Meyer clears this all up in the next week. This is just silly nonsense.

SH Nations Preparations for June Tests

Bismarck has earned the right although the other two have been performing better. I would have no problem seeing Strauss start. Nel is a TH and got owned by Taumololo who is hardly the best scrummaging LH in the comp. Nel's problem will always be his size. JdV's organisational skills in...

SH Nations Preparations for June Tests

Yeah but again Henyeke is going to pick experience so Goosen is no chance. Hopefully Frans at 12 and Lambie at 15. JdJ again is a bit more experienced than Ebersohn who is a great player. Shit he is coming along in spades. How is Bekker? Is it bad?

Genius. Rumor has it Smit is on his way to Pretoria right now. They needed four business class seats.

SH Nations Preparations for June Tests

My worry is that it will set us back. What if some of the old guard play really well? Then he has to retain them and again we delay the inevitable. I agree for the most part on the overseas player issue but I think there will always be the odd exception becuase the player is class. I don't...

As a non Wob fan I would personally clean robbie Deans' boots after practice for the next year if he drops Robinson. In fact, I think I might find a few people who whould lick them clean. What an ueberbizarre notion to question the value of Fat Cat. Borders on the delusional. "Drop...

Slipper has been terrible this year. Doesn't even look vaguely like a test player. Palmer is the man. Thankfully for everyone else Robbie is unlikely to realise this. He will play Kepu. That was his preference going into the RWC. Kepu's okay. Aus is a hell of a lot better off right now than...

    SA Rugby

The reason the Lions did so well last year in the CC is that they took almost 100% the same squad out of Super rugby into CC because the list no players to the Boks and kept continuity. Teams like the Bulls and Stormers were playing CC rugby with depleted squads and used a lot of youngsters. As...

Jake White: Next Wallaby Coach 2014+?

Pick an Aussie. Take one potentially controversial variable right out of the equation.

SH Nations Preparations for June Tests

Good team. Won't cry if he chose that. He has to go with experience. One week to prepare for England is a joke. Prop's a worry. LHP: Coenie - too loose. Needs another season to work on scrummaging. Got his arse hand to him by the Chiefs this weekend. Big time. Fuck the goose step son. Scrum...

As we are discussing test prep, Brisbok what would your 22 look like if you had to pick them today?

SH Nations Preparations for June Tests

Well on current visible form the best SA scrummie to suit what will no doubt be a traditional game plan is Ruan Pienaar. He is playing better rugby for Ulster than I have ever seen him play and the NH style of game is the best testing ground for that kind of rugby. The Heineken Cup and Pro12...

    Burke strikes back

Your avatar is too much. Please change it. There should be rules against that sort of thing.

SH Nations Preparations for June Tests

Matfield will be part of the coaching team as a lineout and restart consultant which is great but this idea that he will come out of retirement is silly. Meyer is very close to Matfield and Fourie du Preez. Both will definitely be involved in some way but I hope it's only du Preez that will play.

SH Nations Preparations for June Tests

The rumor, as is often the case, has been started by Keo. ESPNscum is hardly a reliable rugby source. All Meyer said is that he is going to look to pick experience against England and won't discount bringing people out of retirement. I think there is a way better chance of him bringing back...

Heyneke names 1st of 3 training squads

Du Preez. No chance. He will probably be in the match 22 but I think captain is a stretch too far. All roads seem to point to Schalk and if Meyer were wise he would NOT pick a bulls player as hot whole management team will be dressed in pink er I mean cherise.
