I agree with this. You don't need to have half the injury woes we had this year and we could still be in trouble with just Alcock, McCutcheon, Dennis, Palu, Perrett and Mumm. There's no Mowen or McCaffrey to cover, they're gone. Not sure Perrett is signed either. I have a feeling that Elsom...

'Future of Rugby' Announcement in Sydney today

Mate, you should be grateful. I live in Adelaide. Post WC 2003 we've had no tests and only the sevens. Now they've taken that away to give to the gold coast schoolies.

    Great line Bruce!

    Matt Dunning

Fully fit he would be a good option to have; Robinson and Kepu are a mighty starting front row with TPN but Ryan is only promising and Tilse still not really proven despite his five years in the squad. Tucky can play both sides which delivers flexibility. But in the new 30+5 rookie contract...

    Tri Nations Game 6 - Wallabies vs All Blacks - Saturday 27 August 2011 - 3N2011

Quoting Greg Growden on today's Herald: "There is unlikely to be any tinkering with the Wallabies' pack, as the front row excelled, while Dan Vickerman and Radike Samo revitalised lineout and back-row play." I offer this as definitive proof that Growden never watches the game and just makes...

    Tri Nations Game 6 - Wallabies vs All Blacks - Saturday 27 August 2011 - 3N2011

No guarantees on that. All your key players would have had to travel and get bashed up last week. Last night's game was physically immense and had McCaw and friends played last week fatigue would have been more of a factor. Incidentally, I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet but McCaw had...

Last Tri Ever: GAGR Wallabies vs. All Blacks MOM

    3. Samo. Now we have an 8 who has physical prescence with Palu as a back-up. 2. Vickerman. Awesome play in tight 1. Pocock. An immense game, shaded McCaw, who was also incredibly good. Honorable mentions to: Horwill, Rocky, Genia - though his box kicking was awful, Ioane, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and Beale...

Don't think you need to know who number 8 was, he wasn't really there.

I'm with you. Jenkins would start in front of Alcock easily and McCutcheon is a long way behind those two.

    Waratahs 2012

One thing last night's match showed again was that Pat McCutcheon is a looong way short of Super starting quality. I thought he was our worst forward and probably the worst forward on the park. Why everyone wants to promote him over Alcock is a mystery wrapped in a conundrum.

    Tri Nations Game 6 - Wallabies vs All Blacks - Saturday 27 August 2011 - 3N2011

This is an interesting team and I think the Holy Trinity are, like Deans, using the game to get some final ideas on the no. 1 team for the WC without seriously downgrading the team for the trinations trophy: I don't think these are the WC starting wingers, but this game is a bit of a trial...

    Waratahs 2012

Sure hope so. I expect that the two derbies will be absolutely monumental, as hard as a final and a lot more passion.

    Aussie Baa Baa's Vs Canada

I think that's a tough call on Cowan. The Force front row was very effective this year and gave a lot of other scrums some grief. Anyone care to name any scrum that the Reds gave serious grief (apart from the Chiefs, they were pretty awful)?

    Tri Nations Game 6 - Wallabies vs All Blacks - Saturday 27 August 2011 - 3N2011

Not sure that these two sentences can co-exist with each other. Higgers contribution as a starter was pretty invisible, as the stats clearly show.

While not wishing to be accused of trolling, I reckon team management must already be going grey at the thought of Danny, Kurtley and Beiber out on the town together.

    Tri Nations Game 6 - Wallabies vs All Blacks - Saturday 27 August 2011 - 3N2011

Without doing a full statistical analysis, I don't think that the proposition that if he hits/misses the first kick he's going to have a good/bad day is proven beyond reasonable doubt. Refer the Stormers, Bulls, Tahs, Hurricanes sequence.

    Aussie Baa Baa's Vs Canada

This I DO NOT BELIEVE. Added to that, Palu's form for the Tahs coming back from injury did not need half a season to get to where it should be, just a couple of games. Like Russia and Italy perhaps. He was really good against the Clan till Thompson broke his shoulder blade in a freak incident.

    Aussie Baa Baa's Vs Canada

Looks like the national selectors are in love with Pat McCutcheon too. Although I'm a Tah supporter, this is one selection that baffles me. He played, I think, in four Super games and in one of those he was pretty good. In one other he was average and in two he was poor to invisible (not in...
