2011 Wallaby And Australia A Teams

We almost have a consensus on the first XV. No one tell Matt Burke!

    NO Salary Caps in Australia

France has introduced a salary cap, although it is larger than the one proposed here: £7.1m. The Guinness Premiership clubs in England have a £4m limit.

    Reds vs Bulls 2011R09

This might be a controversial opinion, but I'll put it out there. Everyone on here who 'hates' other Australian teams seems to be a Reds fan. Maybe it's just a statistical fluke, or maybe I've only seen the Reds posts, but that's how it's coming over to me.

    Gnostic's Week 9 Form side

You need to go back to Planet Rugby where that kind of behaviour is accepted.

    Gnostic's Week 9 Form side

No one said the Reds front row weren't good. It was probably pretty much line ball. But what Finsbury Girl actually said (and barbarian objected to) was this: Which I think is right out of order!

    NO Salary Caps in Australia

Here is a good Australian legal analysis.

    Reds vs Bulls 2011R09

You should make some money advising national coaches to adopt this strategy in all the other tests. You'll be rich.

    Reds vs Bulls 2011R09

That's never been my experience with rugby. It has always been a collegiate kind of sport, barbecues after the game, hail fellow well met, that kind of thing. 'Hating' other Australian teams sounds suspiciously like State of Origin to me.

    NO Salary Caps in Australia

Absolutely. Australian rugby is best served by having five competitive teams, and having differences in coaching, preparation, skills and playing style competing to determine the winning team. What competes, improves. If money is what competes, then it it only money that improves.

    Reds vs Waratahs, 2011R10

The difference is the Brumbies, Bulls and Stormers lost against the Reds. I seem to remember the Waratahs won, 30-6. >:D

    Reds vs Waratahs, 2011R10

    Impressive misanthropy!
  13. Groucho

    Reds vs Bulls 2011R09

Why? It wouldn't make any difference to their results against the Reds if they improve.

    Reds vs Bulls 2011R09

Yes, but Spies is actually faster running backwards than forward. He only runs forward to give other players a chance.

    Blues v NSW Waratahs @ Auckland - 2011R09

Dennis plays well every time he comes on. He has a real dynamism with the ball in hand that our other forwards seem to lack.

    Blues v NSW Waratahs @ Auckland - 2011R09

Yes, but all of us can write badly.

    Reds vs Bulls 2011R09

I'm living here temporarily, tranquility, with my gf. I'll be going over to WA soon. I do like Qld though.

    Reds vs Bulls 2011R09

Yes, Brisbane was somewhat poetically licensed on my part... I'm in Cleveland. And it's dry here now.

Super Rugby Expansion in Australia. Success or failure?

Those are very good arguments, Bowside. I think there are benefits to Australian rugby in both positions.

Super Rugby Expansion in Australia. Success or failure?

Bowside, I think the top class players are precisely the ones who should be encouraged to move. Having them leave opens up new spaces in the nursery states for new young stars to emerge, and so the cycle goes on. Until new areas like Melbourne have been going for quite some time, there is no way...
