Wright is fast, has an excellent step and is relatively strong in contact. A good fullback also needs great decision making, good positional awareness, a decent boot, a bit of a distribution game and a good cover tackle. Wright doesnt have any of this (at test level, anyway).

Been saying unrestricted eligibility is inevitable for ages.

Harrison is the most talented of the lot, by far. Kid has had a shit run with injuries though.

I did also previously say this was possibly the most important test after the Scrotum game so ignore me eh

Gordon aside - Wright at fullback over Campbell is criminal. If ever a test match was a throwaway its this fucker. Why would you even do this?

Man you gotta feel for Lolesio.

Pretty sure Cheika said the same thing.

Yeah the way I figure it the easiest way to delineate between a game and a sport is that a sport must have a physical competency element to it which is relied on for an advantage.

Ah yes the glorious sport of chess. Rugby was the only sport I had any interest in so me and my mates picked up chess to tick the box in years 11 and 12. I'll never forget winning the solitary game of chess anyone from our cohort won all year. Probably my proudest moment.

I'd prefer a wild stab at something decent than your endless defence of doomed mediocrity.

Well - in the wonderful realms of fantasy that populate my imagination everything above subbies is deleted and reformed to create a glorious tiered system which loosely mimics the British football pyramid - including promotion and relegation. Top tier clubs can qualify for the Pacific Champions...

Is it different anywhere else? It should be a huge jump to national coach. Equally, there should be plenty of opportunities to excel and demonstrate your excellence in competition with your peers. And there should be several tiers below that too. We just slapped some salaries onto the top end...

    I wouldn't say that...

Burn it all to the ground and start again.

There are literally no professional coaching pathways in Australia. The only way to properly jump from semi-pro/amateur to pro is to go overseas. And we wonder why we have subpar coaching?

Nope. He has brilliant footwork and is certainly capable of beating a defender but he almost never does this in tight.

Because people would be making smarter decisions. Rennies selections have become fairly questionable.

Yeah TBH I'm not sold on Gleeson entirely either. If the state of rugby wasn't what it is we'd have Naisarani and Wilson lining up to take Valetini's spot. Alas.

But Valetini still fulfills the same role from 6 at the Brumbies as he does from 8 for the Wallabies. If you are playing Samu at 8 someone else needs to do Valetini's role because Samu can't.

I don't see how Samu can start at 8 - he's completely unsuited to Valetini's role in the side.
