It almost seems to me from what I've seen, that Tui is playing more of an 8 role and Schatz is playing the 6 role, just that the steady hands and feet of Schatz are preferred at the back of the scrum.

Logistical Problems would emerge with 6 member groups. Like, if you play everybody twice, that's 10 games. That's a bit too many IMO. If 3 by 5 was optimized, that would have been 8 within, 10 without, which would have been great.

I don't remember the specifics of the law change, but I thought it was that the ball carrier can stay where he is, others just can't go ahead of him? If the ball goes to the back, it goes independently of the player, but it can also be wherever it wants.
