    Reds 2022

I feel that I said as much. No, I think that Daugunu has to stake his claim and has had a slow start. He has more to do. At the moment though, it is his slot for Petaia to take. My comments have been on Petaia being called "OK" as a nod to him starting. I think he needs to do more. To be fair...

    Reds 2022

Daugunu also is having a slow start to the season. The difference is that Petaia is asking to displace players who are doing fine, and he hasn't seemed to offer much over what is there already. Two games gives you a position on Petaia's consistency? OK. My thought differ. Sure Petaia was OK...

I'd be dropping Petaia, myself. Flook stays, Jock stays, Vunivalu starts. Or perhaps start Vunivalu from the bench. Either way for me on the the first two rounds, Petaia is not first cab off the rank.

I have friends close to Ballymore. Just evacuated as the house was flooding. I don't know how players could be getting to the training ground, let alone finding a rugby field that isn't underwater.

    Waratahs 2022

Oh I think the Waratahs have pulled together a fabulous team. And it wasn't obvious to all of us that was happening as Coleman was being called in. I'm completely happy to recognise Coleman. I'm just not writing out Penny in the process.

    Waratahs 2022

We are always quick to diss the outgoing. To me it was interesting in various preseason interviews where Coleman discussed the team vibe and culture. Against his expectations, the team was tight and happy. No back stabbing or narkiness. Coleman put it down to excellent culture against the odds...

Super Rugby Rnd 2: Waratahs v Reds AKA The 2022 Festival of Hate.

Sure, perhaps my expectations are redundant. Rugby game philosophy is constantly moving. Not that long back we expected the inner pod to be based on the locks + possibly the 8. And a second pod being the front row. The font row was likely to have weary legs after scrums, so the heavy lifting was...

Super Rugby Rnd 2: Waratahs v Reds AKA The 2022 Festival of Hate.

Yes and then Stewart and JOC (James O'Connor) (and ASY (Angus Scott-Young)), all about the same. Tackling was good across the park with Fraser a stand out. Reg, what do you expect from the locks in attack?

Super Rugby Rnd 2: Waratahs v Reds AKA The 2022 Festival of Hate.

The Waratah turnaround is no flash-in-the-pan. It's not one swallow but a definite Spring. I won't argue with anyone who says the Tahs were unlucky here, deserved the win, but for the Reds to hold and close a game like this is rewarding. Thought the Red scrum wasn't too shoddy given missing...

    Aussie Player Exodus

Hmm. I’ve had something of a frustrating “fan relationship” with Jake. Personally tat this stage I’m rejoicing over where he is and where he’s going. All the very best, Jake.

I thought Jake had an excellent game with the time he got last weekend.

    Aussie Player Exodus

Apologies Rebel, I don't actually understand your question? At any rate I lived in England 1997 to 2007 and was a keen follower of the round ball game. My team was the Royals (not at the time Premier league) but we had a player into the National squad. And this definitely due to key positions in...

    Aussie Player Exodus

I don't think we need to have a fully open doors policy. But if we continue with a TT rather than a domestic comp, players in any team in the comp should be available for National selection regardless of domicile location. I don't mind the MP (Moana Pasifika) AB quota, and possibly a statement would be made to...

    Aussie Player Exodus

The English National football team has often had some difficult thinking in selection given so many foreigners in the comp. They've even occasionally pulled players into the squad from a lower division. It's a good thing for the quality of the "domestic" comp, but not helpful at international level.

NOW we're talking! Never happen though, and to be fair you'd want a back up who was ready to start. A lot.

It's been a long time since I've seen Thorn eat crow. Never, come to think of it. What chance he has matured?

^ Adam, is this Aus Rugby politics, or continuation of the usual Sydney SRU club horseshit?

    Waratahs 2022

Not many of our backs (or forwards) are playing in France with that experience being sited as justification for RA top up and anticipation of WB service. Hopefully I can get a straight answer from fp.

Out of interest, would Beale likely make the France 35 squad?
