Australia A - Back on the Cards

Didn't hear an extra C, it's just how the word flows - saying it aloud, the C is more pronounced with the ay pronunciation. 'Rudimentary' and part of the job or not, do the 5-10 times his name was said across 80min really detract from your experience that much? Agree that they could've been more...

Australia A - Back on the Cards

The 'ay' vs 'eye' pronunciation of ei changes across the world - both are accepted. Same thing when it comes to Lawson and Hudson Creighton (cr-ay-ton vs cr-eye-ton). I wouldn't get too worked up about it.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

Regardless of what you think of his decision making, I would put money on a stalwart of international refereeing having his timing down pat. Not the first time a broadcast clock has been out of sync, and won't be the last

Australia A - Back on the Cards

Of all the things that Aussie sporting crowds are known for, I would say this is the least embarrassing

    Samoa vs Australia A

Which is why they're being given exposure on an international stage now. Wins would be nice, but it isn't the point of the exercise

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

In my eyes he's always had noticeably slow service, and even just seems a bit delayed getting to the rucks. I don't mind the rest of his game, but he just doesn't seem to have that sense of urgency or franticness that many top halfbacks have. I feel like his game progressed for the Reds this...

    Reds 2023

I imagine his days as a concreter would have rubbed off on him. I also don’t reckon he’d drop info like that willy nilly

    Australian Rugby / RA

Yeah just had a look at Ticketek and none of the games are close to a sellout yet. Perth's looking pretty full, but still plenty available (not sure they've opened up the topmost rows either); Brisbane and Sydney are probably sitting at ~70% capacity from my really rough eyeball

    Australia v England Test 1 Sat. July 2 @1955

Put your longest studs on, do your best Quade circa 2010/11 impression on a short, hard, greasy surface, and then see if you stand by this.

You know, for a sunnyboy, you're never very sunny. Considered a name change to pessimistboys?

I'd say it has to do with that screenshot of the team list being the media package - may just be preempting questions about his status

    Concussions and Protecting Our Players

Not to mention the blank stare and seemingly lack of general awareness. Absolutely is concussed

    Australia v England Test 1 Sat. July 2 @1955

Last year’s reasoning around Gordon’s superior kicking game was justifiable, but I’m not sure that’s the case this year, nor do I think he’s particularly compatible with the Wallabies’ typically fast-paced style; in my eyes he was consistently slow getting ball out from the ruck, and didn’t seem...

It was really his only poor game of the season - consistent performer amongst an inconsistent Reds. Just think he adds something a bit more than Gordon

Gee I’m not sure about Gordon over McDermott, feel like Tate’s been hard done by there

    Reds 2023

Thorn could walk up Caxton St pre-game, grab the “hardest” bouncer he could find, and throw him into the game - doesn’t mean he’d be any good at footy

    Concussions and Protecting Our Players

Unconsciousness isn’t the only criteria for removal from the game though is it? My understanding was that you could also be pulled without failing a HIA if you were noticeably unsteady, dazed, etc., which he clearly was. Poor from Irish med staff if that is the case

    Reds 2023

Not saying I disagree, but what areas are you referring to in particular? I thought he did an alright job coming in as injury cover (I think?) with pretty big shoes to fill. Given he hung around for 10 games, Thorn must see some potential in him.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

Only reason I can see why he's been overlooked is that he's already in the fold for Wallabies selection (and has already held a national team leadership role) and they wanted to move captaincy onto someone just breaking through / likely to remain in the Aus A setup for a while.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I would assume it’s either Nine/Stan, or mutual agreement with RA
