SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) 2023 General Chat

The comments about duplication and saving wages from RA won't be about the board level, they're about the actual employees of the organisation and the roles within it. I don't believe board member salaries are that high that they'd be worth penny pinching over, at least not versus other areas...

    Brumbies v Rebels Friday 2 June 7.35pm

Winning is the better option across the board, any team that can shift there placing risks losing hosting rights or a finals place altogether by losing. The exception is the Chiefs and tahs, who can't change their placings at this stage so would put less importance on winning. I guess you could...

    Drua v Reds, Sat 3 Jun, 2:35PM

Out for the season as far as I'm aware. I think there might be a slim chance of him being back if we go deep in the finals, but I think it's more likely he'll be targeting the first test.

    Drua v Reds, Sat 3 Jun, 2:35PM

A bit of luck with injuries and this actually looks like one of our stronger sides this year Wright is definitely a loss, but it really helps having Uru and Smith back

Looks like Tate will be ok, O'Connor to 10, Paisami to 12:

Haha, you're not wrong but I had a go anyway

    Wallabies 2023

I've listened to the podcast it happened on, context starts at around the 19:20 mark https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/rugby/lawrence-dallaglio-s-rugby-podcast-b981372.html So he was talking about it, but honestly the vibe was more like a player saying "we're just taking it one game at a time"...

    Wallabies 2023

The quote is a bit confusing, but I think it might be missing context. I assumed he was talking about the 2027 at the end of his contract, not the one at the end of this year.

    Wallabies 2023

I think it's probably still a year too early for him, but he's been playing well and is on Eddie's radar. Wouldn't be surprised if he's called into a camp or two to get him up to speed but released to play Aus A. Van Nek is probably more likely at this stage though.

The feed is literally named smart tracking, so that's probably a pretty safe bet

Absolutely splintering them at scrum time, looks like a huge improvement on last year

Just tuned in, looks like there's no comms and no scoreboard - anyone have a score update?

    Reds 2023

He is, I accidently put him and Fa'agase around the wrong way on the bench. With Zander having gone off with an HIA I assume we'll need another loosehead to come in against the Drua. Could otherwise be Blake I guess but I'd rather see how Lloyd goes.

Australian Super Rugby Team of the Week 2023

By my reckoning he's probably just on the 10 years cumulative at this point so should be ok. I have it as: 2007-2009 (2), 2011-2017 (6), 2020 (1) and 2022-2023* (2). That's 11 in total though not all of those years will have been full ones. That said I'm not sure what he did for the 2 years he...

    Try of the Year 2023

I don't think it's just Reds fans, there's plenty of neutrals praising it too: https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/sport/490825/super-rugby-failure-to-deal-with-head-shots-overshadows-incredible-action https://www.ruck.co.uk/try-of-the-season-watch-queensland-reds-filthy-try-goes-viral/...
