The quote is a bit confusing, but I think it might be missing context. I assumed he was talking about the 2027 at the end of his contract, not the one at the end of this year.

I think it's probably still a year too early for him, but he's been playing well and is on Eddie's radar. Wouldn't be surprised if he's called into a camp or two to get him up to speed but released to play Aus A. Van Nek is probably more likely at this stage though.
