    Refereeing decisions

This is my point on the match thread. We won’t win any games against NZ, especially in NZ, when the officiating team is also stacked with them.

I’ll back whatever side we put out next week. The all blacks could be better, but so could we. In fact, we have more upside.

Agree. Form and performance weren’t Ikitau’s friends tonight. He wasn’t terrible but we aren’t looking for ‘OK’ at test level. If JOC (James O'Connor) was fit the solution would be easy, but he ain’t.

Well that won’t happen. Not criticising the the thinking though.

well I’m already loading up on the ABs on Betfair then. Why weren’t there overseas officials already in the country for tonight’s game? I doubt they planned to use only Aus/NZ ones, in which case there are already some in quarantine.

I wasn’t being tough on Ikitau, we need some experience in the backline and that is the most sensible solution. The other alternative is Hodge at 10. Worked last time out, Noah is the casualty though.

Starting yes, but I thought we went up a level in the pigs when we made the sub, I think we won all our set piece too. I think it works late in the game.

Ikitau has potential but I’m with you on this, push Paisami out one and start To'omua. I’m sceptical about off the bench appearances in general but we need some experience around Noah and this is the best solution.

Next week is predictable. We will be bold again but we can’t win when there are 4 kiwis adjudicating. Fair enough for this game as it all happened pretty quickly, but hopefully they had the foresight to fly some tier 1 officials in before the lockdown.

No problems with those blokes, there are a couple of others that can be/are in the squad justifiably. Can’t pick Argentinians though.

That’s the thing, I applaud the force for their performance this year but it’s hard to pick any of them when they’re ineligible.

Yep. Not a big difference on the scoreboard but a massive difference to the result.

Academic but the ABs weren’t even back 5m that last tap penalty. This is meant to be professional sport FFS.

Love Mehrtens saying there’s no such thing as an ‘x’ point wind these days. Haha.

I had a look, it was ok. Dirty cheap shot but legal.

He was an absolute star in the u20s. Just needs to be on the end of a good backline I reckon.

This is great so far against a 10 point wind
