Wallabies vs Wales - Docklands Stadium June 16

My personal whinge ATM is that Wales show signs of becoming a team like the one Robbie Deans seems to be molding - based on playing percentages. Wales were great last season because the had a brilliant defence (and there was plenty of evidence the unbrella defence was back) but also because they...

think if you watch again, He got through a helluva lot of work at the breakdown.

The only Wales tour I can recall Messrs John and Edwards going on was NZ in 69. We didn't have live coverage but from memory it wasn't a great success, though it did set up the 71 Lions tour

australians have whinged fro years about NH bringing second and third string teams here to blood players. this year they havent and the matches have been excellent. Now there are suggestions of doing the same. shame.

Wallabies vs Wales - Docklands Stadium June 16

Watched the replay and felt different but similar pain to when 5 of our rugby club jumped on top of me as the kick went over and whilst I think Hibbard is a lard arse who looked stupid, I think it strange that this maul collapsed when no other had all night. With winning everything, in my...

Now that's a different issue. Vuna was indeed poorest back on the park. wales tried to target him but Priestland and Philips kicked too long and into touch on the full. He is a liability. Hope Deans hasn't noticed and he plays next Saturday

Wallabies vs Wales - Docklands Stadium June 16

My point exactly. He tries to pull out of the hit. momentum does the rest.

If you jump to contest you're going to give away a penalty too. Happened in the first half. Advantage is totally with the leaping defender

Wallabies vs Wales - Docklands Stadium June 16

you reckon? I cant see how any player who is chasing a kick can avoid handling the jumper. Momentum does it every time. fair enough to give a penalty but I think intent has to be made part of the equation as to whether player should be binned and on that incident, there was no intent to do...

Wallabies vs Wales - Docklands Stadium June 16

Oh and on another issue. How can any good attacking player chasing a kick avoid hitting a defender in mid air and getting himself binned. 1/2P has learned from bitter experience vs France that you jump for everything and fall hard if hit. then teamates come in for a bit of handbag throwing and a...

Wallabies vs Wales - Docklands Stadium June 16

Maybe, but Cooper is way overrated and unless he gets the ball in broken play, his sidestep jump is going to see him get creamed every time

I will say that I am glad we never have to have Nigel as ref

Never thought I'd say it, but think Richie McCaw should make this his last international season. Still getting through loads of work but no where near as dominating has he was last year

If backlines play deep these days they just never reach the gainline and if you really want to lose against NZ drop Barnes for Cooper and you really will have the ABs salivating

    New Zealand vs Ireland

No. the biggest decision of the night was in the other game. Thought Ireland played so well. forced the NZ backs to look ordinary for long periods. Carter's positional kicking did them in. Other than than that they were so close to something quite miraculous
