    Wallabies 2019 Thread

    What an incredibly depressing thought.

    Reds 2019

Higginbum has always had a lot of potential.........

    Round 4: Rebels v Brumbies - Fri 8th @7:45pm

Let's see how they go when they give Genia a couple of games off. As they should.

    Round 4: Rebels v Brumbies - Fri 8th @7:45pm

The derbies draw the biggest crowds because they attract two sets of supporters. No?

Round 4 - Festival of Hate - Qld v NSW

Trying to lull us into a false sense of superiority, eh? I smell an ambush.

Round 4 - Festival of Hate - Qld v NSW

Let's hope we see Higginbum playing like a real 8, not like a would-be winger. Up the guts, where the going is tough, not dancing around out on the fringes.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I would guess that throwing well is a matter of confidence (assuming that a player at this level has the basics right). I wonder whether the Wobbs have access to a good sports psychologist?

2019 TV ratings and crowd numbers

It all makes perfect sense. Sadly.

    Women's Rugby Union

I was a bit surprised, frankly. Biting is about as low as it goes.

2019 TV ratings and crowd numbers

I would like to get Ponga, that is for sure.

2019 TV ratings and crowd numbers

Not necessarily. Kalyn Ponga = Exhibit 1. If he plays our game, it will not be in our jersey. Who can blame him?

    Rugby News from unexpected places

Harv, the elitist roots are about the only roots we have got these days. The time to do something about them was probably 110 years ago, when the game should have gone professional, but chose not to. We are a minority sport now, and for the life of me I cannot see how that situation is going...

    R3 - Reds vs. Crusaders - Suncorp

The Saders were a class above, unfortunately. Then again, they are a class above most of the teams in the comp, frankly. I was impressed with Higginbum's attitude when he came on. Oh, if only we could turn the clock back, and if only he had played with this sort of intent way back then. I...

    R3 - Reds vs. Crusaders - Suncorp

15 against 14 would have been a lot fairer, though. From the kickoff.

2019 TV ratings and crowd numbers

Lots of Kiwis in SE Qld.

    Un-Australian Activities 2019

A lot will depend on whether the Sunwolves have their Test squad players back. Maybe I am wrong, but I reckon that the second-stringers are actually a more potent combination. Hungry, and committed.

    Global Rapid Rugby

Aberdeen seems to be more orientated towards rugby, from what I gleaned. Mongkok, on the other hand, is pretty much soccer, soccer, soccer, innit? Maybe there are scheduling issues, contention with the other code.

    Global Rapid Rugby

I am a bit out of touch (as you have suggested) but why would Mongkok be a better alternative? I would not know either way, in my time these sorts of games would have been either at Happy Valley or the Government Stadium.

    Shute Shield 2019

Thanks, Dave. I do try to be positive, and I am a financial member of my club, even though we live a long way away now. Go the Marlins, and go the Woodies.

    R3 - Brumbies v Hurricanes - 1 March 5:35PM AEDT - Palmy North

Maybe the presence of BB is the reason for giving Valetini a rest. The back row will need to be everywhere in D, speed will be of the essence.
