Same comment probably relates to Ala'alatoa too. When the contract was signed, he was the No 1 rated THP in the country and still very young in Prop terms - a point of difference maybe with Hooper. While TT and HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) were both performing well at the time, RA probably didn't see them necessarily...

A hypothetical that means nothing and proves nothing BA. Bobby Sands posts a lot of tripe, imo, and he is off course suggesting LFG was a better No 7 than Hooper. Not much inferior, but inferior. But I reckon he has a point in criticising the huge money and length of the contract RA signed...

But the Rebels won the game earlier in the season, didn't they?

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Remember a couple of ex-Canberra players converting without a whole lot of success, McLinden I think and a full back whose name escapes me.

Super Rugby AU Round 9 - Brumbies, v. Force, Friday 28 August 7:05pm AEST (5:05pm AWST)

Laws change from time to time D. I think the ball in touch law changed last year, or maybe 2018. It was meant to get rid of the interpretation of line of touch as I recall, so I'm not so sure the commentators got their commentary right on this occasion. Anyone watching the NZ SRAo competition...

Fully expect them to be towelled up by any of the Reds, Tahs or Rebels when they meet in the final. EDIT : Ponder for a minute what might have happened had Sio, Valetini, White Fainga'a et al started the game and not been rested on the bench. Get real.

Super Rugby AU Round 9 - Brumbies, v. Force, Friday 28 August 7:05pm AEST (5:05pm AWST)

Good, thanks KOB. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that a long arm transfer involves the catcher passing the ball to a player not bound to the maul. If that player then elects to run the ball, or pass it on, then there is no obstruction, but if he joins the maul after taking the ball it...

Super Rugby AU Round 9 - Brumbies, v. Force, Friday 28 August 7:05pm AEST (5:05pm AWST)

Last decision (by the TMO) looked like absolute crap to me. FF (Folau Fainga'a) was fully and legally bound to the maul when he received the ball. Just what they thought Miller did is beyond me. Cooper was less than mediocre when he had the central ref spot and he didn't cover himself in any glory as TMO tonight.

Think he's been solid over the whole competition. He is starting to look like he's playing with some flair tonight.

My memory might be playing tricks on me but I have this nagging belief that the Brumbies don't play well on Friday nights. If that is so, then a one point victory will do me.

Super Rugby AU Round 9 - Brumbies, v. Force, Friday 28 August 7:05pm AEST (5:05pm AWST)

I hope Amy lets the game flow. It seems to me that she has a tendency to be a bit pedantic when she's on the touch line, often encroaching on the field at lineout time to insist on the defensive hooker moving back marginally as the ball is about to be thrown. None of the male refs have shown...

    Wallabies 2020

Some interesting, though unsubstantiated, comments coming out of some Reds fans on the Reds 2020 thread about JOC (James O'Connor), his behaviours and influences on the team dynamic. If there's anything behind those comments, I think JOC (James O'Connor) will be lucky to wear the Gold let alone be considered for Captain. Or is...

Super Rugby AU Round 9 - Brumbies, v. Force, Friday 28 August 7:05pm AEST (5:05pm AWST)

I had expected more of the rested players to be in the starting 15, but apparently those who put the Tahs to the sword last week have been rewarded this week. No idea what the go is with TK. I imagine he will be back in for the final, if they make it, injuries aside.

Sorry D, my bad. Meant to say vaunted Tahs lineout. Guess we can stick with the adjective?
  17. Brumby Runner

    Wallabies 2020

Stealing lineout wins against the vaunted Reds is hardly a negative. Not to mention his defense, his ability to make large metres in contact and his linking/passing attributes.

If you really mean that Reg, I hope you use the same measure against Tate for all the losses the Reds have suffered this year and last.

So, have we put the rumour of a winger going off to the Force to bed?

    Brumbies 2021

Andy Muirhead looks to be the only other winger not signed. Would he be looking to move? Has been getting good game time this year.
