    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

Quite a few upsets today. Easts came from 29-3 down to win 39-29 (something like that). Wests 27 beat GPS20. Sunnybank smoked Gold Coast 73-6. Souths 41-Norths17

And this is the issue you have to weigh up when thinking about clubs relocating. While I believe it's in the best interest of the comp for some clubs to move it needs to be something that is decided from within the club otherwise it won't work.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

With only 6 guys in the team that were regulars last season there has been a lot of change at the 'bank. They are starting to find some form, as shown by the win over Brothers, but you are right the next few weeks will be crucial. The good thing at the moment is that they control their own...

Done. Don't you hate it when your job gets in the way of tipping?

Easts v Uni would have to be the game of the round this week.

    Rebels Intra-Club Match

Did anyone head out and watch? It would be interesting to hear from someone on how it was run and who performed well. I know a few guys who were invited but I think they all pulled out due to over commitments and/or injuries.

    Women's Rugby Union

The Australian Women's 7's team now have a full time coach, in Chris Lane. They are starting to play regularly in a number of tournaments and I am sure they have identified a core group of players for the squad. This group will no doubt change before the games in 2016 but it allow for a long...

Qld Premier Rugby 2012 Tipping Comp

You tipped Souths over Wests like most of us. Also guys I am only posting the tipsters who have tipped recently from now on.

Now that you mention it I did notice that Sua was out for that game. He makes a big difference for them with the work he does on the field and seems to have a settling effect on the other players.

Qld Premier Rugby 2012 Tipping Comp

2 tipsters managed to tip the round this week with the big mover being RugbyReg who is now in second place. SoutherX was the other to get 5/5.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

I would think most clubs would try and use players out of Premier Colts if possible so as to not disrupt the rest of the clubs teams. I know they would need some reserve grade players but if they need 7 then they would have their own issues. Logan have been very impressive this year. They have...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

And I think that is the key to getting Logan into Premier Rugby, one of the current clubs would have to move. It would make some sense for Souths to relocate as they have issues with the current ground, only one field, but again it would require an incentive for them to do it and would upset a...

ARU - Taskforce designed to reform Brisbane and Sydney Premier Rugby

I personally feel that the ARU or the State bodies need to set up a commercial arm that assists the current clubs to become commercially viable. I can't for the life of me understand how a club board can approve player payments while they record a loss on the balance sheet. A club would be...

ARU - Taskforce designed to reform Brisbane and Sydney Premier Rugby

I think you'll find that the review is focused on the football operations of the Clubs in Sydney and Brisbane and how they can best work into the player development pathway that the ARU currently has in place. It will have nothing to do with a new comp because JON doesn't see it as a requirement...

ARU - Taskforce designed to reform Brisbane and Sydney Premier Rugby

At the current stage the majority of players who have professional potential are playing in these 2 comps. With that in mind I can understand why only these 2 comps have been chosen. Also the Premier Clubs receive funding from the ARU as part of the player pathway.

Qld Premier Rugby 2012 Tipping Comp

Crusher, I followed the game via twitter updates and I thought my prediction may have come true but alas the boys from Crosby were too good in the end. My heart really wasn't in it though as I did tip the filth to do the job when push came to shove.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

If Logan were to be included it would have to be at the expense of another team currently in the comp. I can't see any of the other teams dropping out and the 2 coast teams are a must have as they provide a pathway for players in their regions. I personally think that a few clubs would benefit...

The rule with hamstrings is when it feels good have a couple more weeks off. I think he could be out for a couple of weeks but I'm not positive.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

Shane has a hamstring injury that has ruled him out of the game tonight. It's a real blow for him because he has the potential to be a Super level player.
