Super Rugby 2023 QF: Blues vs NSW Waratahs

I think he was talking about Mosese for the tahs, not Patrick for the Blues

    Wallabies 2023

I think the issue is that they're both likely to start, and probably leave the field at the same time. Might be worth having a VC in the starting side likely to play the 80 (or at least more of it) to take over.

Super Rugby QF 2023 Brumbies vs Hurricanes:

I don't think so, he should get good game time still and it's likely to be a close game, so there's every chance he's on the field to setup a winning try or kick a winning field goal (assuming Lonergan has the tee at that point). He may need the Brumbies to win to get another week to push his...

Super Rugby 2023 QF: Chiefs v Reds

He did have his worst defensive game as a last minute replacement at 13, which is a pretty different defensive proposition to 12 where he has been playing for a season or two now. Might depend on where he slots in when/if he comes on.

Super Rugby 2023 QF: Chiefs v Reds

At least 10 changes to the starting 15, absolute panic stations for the Chiefs there. How can they hope to get over the mighty Reds with such low cohesion week to week? ;) In all seriousness, I have seen a few teams falter the week after resting this year, in the same way a bye can break their...

Super Rugby 2023 QF: Chiefs v Reds

I'd still rather have Paisami there, but playing at 13 with Flook on the wing. That would make for our most controlled backline with good kicking options throughout to play the sort of controlled, territory based game we built the win off of last time. I think the only reason his ommission...

Super Rugby 2023 QF: Chiefs v Reds

Looks like Paisami might be out again: Unfortunate to lose him, but we've probably looked out best this year playing 10 Lynagh, 12 O'Connor, 13 Flook.

Certainly it was producing the best referees who were managing many of the most entertaining games. As much as they have stuffed up so much about the league they absolutely nailed the professionalization and development of their referee program.

Jorgensen is a perfect example of someone who has been overused too young. Like Petaia before him he would've benefited from a more managed exposure and ideally been fit for a trip to the under 20s world cup where he could get tournament, touring experience as a leader in the team.

A little early, but in the same way most of our sides are playing young guys too much too early. It probably works best if Kellaway is on one wing to support him. If Kellaway has to shift to 13 to cover the lack of centres it might be a bit iffy, depending on who else is there to back Mason up.

    Queensland Reds 2024

They don't help but it can't have been a surprise when he recruited them. There are still plenty of other players picking up red and yellow cards on the regular too. I don't want to rule him out entirely for it, but at the same time I'm so tired of ill disciplined teams, and I'm pretty firmly...

Just imagine the ball playing backline we could put out: 9 Wilson 10 Bowen 11 McLaughlin-Phillips 12 Annan 13 An actual centre, I guess 14 Gordon 15 Lynagh

Yeah, it's not really clear what he's planning there, because the quote "When I was playing, you would go to club games, and then you’d support your club players at the Super Rugby game. It is really important that we go back to that. That we put our best players and Super players into clubs" is...

    Queensland Reds 2024

Yeah Les Kiss is a Queenslander and will likely be in the conversation to succeed Thorn. He's got a solid record, but the one thing that gives me pause is that London Irish have a had major on field discipline issues in his time there and never seemed in too much of a rush to correct them. I...
