Yeah, you'd assume Lynagh and Wilson will sit this one out and they'll try and get a bit more game time into the fringe guys who didn't play much against New Zealand. As far as broadcast goes, the Australian Barbarians confirmed on their instagram that it unfortunately would not be streamed.

Honestly, I'm amazed the Rebels haven't already snapped up Werchon - he is good friends with the Gordon's and has been playing rugby with them for a very long time. Shifted to Wests in QPR this year to reconnect with them.

Do we lose Werchon and/or Jeans if we sign Meehan? I can't see us having 5 half backs on the books and McDermott and Thomas are already signed.

I'd hope so. He's come back so well from what could've been a career ending injury. Hopefully he's looking to settle in Brisbane post rugby and we can get a few good years out of him yet.

Yeah, I probably harp on it a bit, but it was the loss of the NRC that really screwed things up there. That was where and when development of a lot of players inside and outside the squad started to stall. A year or two later we started to regress to filling vacancies with under 20s guys again...

I don't think you can include a clause like that drops players into a loan pool with no say as to where, when or if you go when the time comes or have their contract be contingent on them being available for loans. Contract clauses would likely only cover the fact that on the agreement of both...

I don't think anyone is suggesting a loan system where you could be "shipped off without notice". As has been mentioned before any sort of trade or loan system would need to be voluntary, likely under employment law in both countries as much as anything else. As far as appeal for those players...

If Eddie's serious about playing a low possession game based around smart kicking then he'd be crazy not to look at these guys. Played the game very much to that blueprint, particularly Campbell who was key to the execution of it.
