2012 Statistics In Comparison To The All Blacks

Completely agree. It's not how many players used its the difference in the injured player and the replacement player. e.g. Will Genia >>>>>>>>>>>>> Nick Phipps. James Horwill/Dan Vickerman >>>>> Sitaleki Timani/Kane Douglas/Rob Simmons. Luckily David Pocock > Michael Hooper. It's hard to...

    Western Force 2013

I would be tempted too- but I don't imagine it matters that much except maybe in the scrums. Maybe on the double loosey. I suppose it depends on form, injuries, etc. Our problem is a lot of our loose forwards are from the same mould. No point having say both Brown and Cottrell or McCaffrey...

    Western Force 2013

I can see the Force playing him at 6- if that is what he wants and we don't have too many injuries. We need a bit of beef in our back row. I'd be pretty happy with: 4. Wykes 5. Lynn 6. McMeniman 7. Hodgson 8. McCalman 18. Battye 19. Cottrell

    Brumbies 2013

Ok the only genuine lock/6s there are Wykes and McMeniman. The rest are either backrowers or second rowers- except McCalman who should only be a backrower based on his height. I want Kimlin as a lock. No offense but you guys play him as a utility forward and given his dimensions and red hair it...

    Brumbies 2013

A few. There is a big shortage of second rowers at the moment. I think Kimlin should concentrate only on being a lock. There is less Wallaby competition there.

    Brumbies 2013

Swanny will be good for you guys. He works well behind an advancing forward pack. I wish we had kept him but we banked on Justin Turner and you have to go for the local. Just hope JT comes good at some point.

    Brumbies 2013

When does Kimlin's contract with the Brumbies end? Would love to have him at the Force. You guys just might lose him if he doesn't get much game time this year. Pretty sure his girlfriend is from Perth. Plus he would need to settle on a position if he wants to break back into the Wallabies...

    Jason Allen? Anyone? Anyone?

    Rebels 2013

I saw him for a couple of games for Force 'A' in 2011. He looked like he had a lot of potential. Was disappointed to see him go to the Rebels. Even more disappointed that he has now gone to league. IFRC his defence needed work. Maybe after a year or two in league he will come back as a better...

    Waratahs 2013

What are the chances of Will Caldwell ever making a comeback? We could really use a guy like him at the Force. Holloway is only about the same height as Brad Thorn- but since he is seems fairly athletic (in the JWC anyway) maybe it is worth looking at him as a 6/8 option.

Should Pocock have to earn back his starting spot?

Wykes doesn't offer enough as a loosehead lock. He is athletic and a good ball runner but that is about it. I had hoped he would specialise as a 6 a few years ago.

    Western Force 2013

We won't have as strong a pack this season but I think/hope that our pack will play smarter. In many ways the Force pack has been playing like the Wallabies pack- one out, static runners; slow to regroup giving the opposition plenty of time to set their defence; playing not to lose rather than...

    Olympic sevens selection

Looking at Carlin Isles reminds me a bit of Brett Stapleton. I wonder what he would have been like if he'd stuck around and played 7s.

    Western Force 2013

He does a bit, doesn't he? I can cope with losing. But losing in a boring way just hurts. We need to see a bit of innovation. I liked it how Wales were getting pumped by the All Blacks by 30 odd points and so they tried something a bit different with the 15 man line-out. Now that was a bit of...

    Reds 2013

The Force were going to make a similar video but we could make up 2 minutes and 10 seconds worth of try-scoring footage :(

    Reds 2013

Poor McDuling. Going down the path of Pat O'Connor and Al Kanaar of promising players whose potential is not met due to injury.

2013 IRB Junior World Championship - France

I think that 20 year olds only should be considered for squad positions in the second row. I doubt that will happen. We have a guy called Corey Thomas (19 next year I think) in our academy. Might be worth a go.

    End of Year Tour 2012

God knows I am not a Robbie Deans fan, but when you think about it, Robbie isn't that bad. I was reading a Steve Hansen article and I just think- thank fuck we don't have that guy as our head coach. Sure most of us would prefer Ewen McKenzie as the Wallabies coach but it could be a lot worse.

2013 IRB Junior World Championship - France

Four out of five of last year's props are still eligible but Gary Neugebauer might be a good option. Latu is still eligible and I remember him being really good last year- good enough to be the starting 1.
