2011 S15 Semi Stormers vs Saders @ Newlands

No, I don't know what you mean. I know what you're talking about but I don't think players have any other option for 2 reasons: 1. They want to get back in the defensive line. 2. If they don't 'roll away' they'll get penalised. Unless we expect them to commando crawl back on-side.....

SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

But look how it worked for the Blues choosing Munroe over Ranger!!!

2011 S15 Semi Stormers vs Saders @ Newlands

What's the alternative? Stay where they are and get pinged for not rolling away??

    Semifinal 1: Reds V Blues

That period was the best example of the Blues not looking to set the platform upfront FIRST!! While the Reds did tackle very well, the Blues made it easy by just shovelling the ball sideways - almost as if they were waiting for someone to single-handedly break the game open. Someone like Rene...

    Go the crusaders!!!!

    Semifinal 1: Reds V Blues

defense was great but the Blues didn't ask the right questions of it in the first half. I was screaming at my TV begging the forwards to go some pick n drives and just get the forward platform set BEFORE going sideways.....rene ranger - has he just played himself into the RWC??

Blues back-line in 2012: 9. Alby Mathewson 10. Anscombe (or Mike Harris) 11. Rudi Wulf 12. Ma'a Nonu 13. Rene Ranger 14. Lachie Munroe (or Hosea Gear/David Smith/Sherwin Stowers) 15. Isaia Toeava Not bad, not bad.....

    Super 15 XV

Bloody hard to dispute I reckon. Maybe Toeava for Beale but I'm a Toeava fan so probably a bit biased....

    OK....we'll have it then...

    Waratahs 2011 post mortem

Hahahaha...nice :D I don't think there's any kiwi I want to see get absolutely rolled more than QC (Quade Cooper). Not even Stephen Dona.......hmmmmm....I'm not so sure now....lol The step up from club rugby comps like Shute Shield etc to Super Rugby must be pretty big. I know guys who have played 1st...

    Waratahs 2011 post mortem

With the RWC around the corner - I agree. I said at the end of 2010 that if I was Hickey I would have played KB (Kurtley Beale) at 10 all year as my first choice. And I think Beale does need some time to get comfortable in the role again. But if given the option of having either the best 15 or the best 10...

    Waratahs 2011 post mortem

Haha...I don't doubt it. Just re-reading what I wrote, I realised that I would have Beale at 10 over Stephen Brett, Stephen Donald, Luke McAllister, Colin Slade, probably Aaron Cruden.....basically all the NZ contenders to Dan's crown....lol

    Waratahs 2011 post mortem

This is from Wikipedia (so it MUST be true....lol). Any comments in brackets are mine. Is Kurtley Beale a fantastic FB - no doubt. But I really don't think he's been given a great start to his career at 10. I remember in NZ hearing all the talk and hype about this young kid before he'd...

    Semifinal 1: Reds V Blues

    1. Putting capitals on it doesn't make it a real title. 2. Too bad the Blues won't be the first team not to have been top qualifier and still win the competition.
  18. Bullrush

    Semifinal 1: Reds V Blues

Hahaha.....fair enuff. But if we can win the whole thing....I don't care either :)

    Semifinal 1: Reds V Blues

Thank-you :) Who cares about an unofficial minor premiership?? Can anyone tell me off the top of their heads who the 'minor premiership' winners were the last 5 years? Exactly.

    Waratahs 2011 post mortem

But he wasn't being seriously considered as the Wallaby full-back until the injury-enforced AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) move.
