    G&GR Fantasy Rugby Competition 2012

Last pass? maybe I missed that. Anyhow I found a way to log in I just came across a different log in page that redirected me & it finally used my log in details. I'm on an older version of IE so I'm guessing an upgrade may be in order. I'm on IE7 (I know its old but when I last upgraded to IE8...

    G&GR Fantasy Rugby Competition 2012

I'll hopefully be on this later. Right now the new Fantasy Page refuses to sign me in, clicked log in over & over again (with password & name typed in) to no avail. So hopefully the website or maybe my lame lap top will respond at some point.

Brumbies V Force Trial Match 4 Feb 2012

Crusaders were beaten Feb 2004 by the Tahs 43-19, guess which team made the final at the end of the season? If you guessed Tahs then you would be wrong. The fact that the Saders lost the final isnt relevant. The point is the beginning of the season & trials dont mean a great deal other than...

Reds vs Waratahs - the war before the war

He's going to leave that to the other QLD team that plays the underdog tag every year even if they're completely dominating their opponent. It actually gets very lame after a while when its so obvious that your team isnt the outsider. I agree Link's approach is refreshing. Getting to the top...

    Brumbies 2012

Couldnt they just say "The UC Brumbies"? with the UC sounding like "You see" it could make way for some creative person to come up with some handy advertising or sloguns for the UC & the Brumbies combined.

    Brumbies 2012

That's lucky for the brumbies that ANU isnt on the jersey. I remember one memorable Uni games meet in Tamworth where my Newcastle University team was represented through NUSport (Newcastle Univeristy sport) & ANU was represented by Australian National University Sport. Until I knew what it stood...

What attributes are important for the Captain of a Super Rugby team?

Yeah, whilst I believe in players being able to have a voice & certainly a vice capt for back-up I dont agree with the way many teams have so many cooks to one pot. After picking a capt, vice capt, emerging capt, most experienced player, leadership group, etc, etc you end up with maybe 2-3...

    Naked Rugby

On one hand I think the LFL is a disgrace & the girls in it are deluded that they think they are playing a real sport, its hard enough for women in REAL sport to get any respect let alone with these girls around. On the other hand being gay I can 'appreciate' the LFL girls looks, so I guess I'm...

    7s Competitions

Anyone going to Crescent Head sevens this year? My club is sending two womens teams due to over interest. Hamilton girls will probably go to.

    Newcastle Hunter Rugby Union

Very interesting development, Va has decided to stay at thw Hawks but the other Hawks players are moving on. Also another Hawk player whose sister I play with looks to return to Rugby after a horrible spinal injury, fantastic comeback on the cards for him & very good news...

    Newcastle Hunter Rugby Union

A lot of Clubs are already back at training this week for the Pre-season. Already there have been some player movements. Two articles cover this below. Va has been a great player for the Hawks but is now moving over to newer club Southern Beaches. Some from other clubs have complained that...

Professional Rugby set for the USA

So true, some time ago (& still to some extent sadly) we used to have a lot of our teams player positions in the forwards based on who was the biggest. We absolutely smashed other teams when we had ball in hand but other teams worked out we were big but slow, couldnt get to enough breakdowns, or...

    Rugby Predictions for 2012

Tend to agree with much of this post. I think Hore did a great job during RWC. On Tom Donnelly, I'm overjoyed he is coming to the Saders but looking at his situation he has a 1yr contract, he was left out of the highlanders for IMO lesser locks than him, plus he's coming back from injury to...

Union or League - what did you start with?

@WCR Yes, does sound similar doesn’t it. Did you do little A’s by any chance? I did that for a few years starting at 5yrs old. I know athletics isn’t amazingly popular but I liked little A’s. I really wish Cricket was more accessible for me growing up. @WJ, What do you think of the Central...

Professional Rugby set for the USA

There's a lot I like about this news. Maybe I've skipped over it but is it college based? Either way I'm just imagining the possibilities for players in my regional area who'd be interested in going to USA to work or study, they may look to this Rugby comp in America as an opportunity to try...

    Rugby Predictions for 2012

Damn I got confused. I'm sure I've fixed it now. You're right Quad nations does sound very bogun/league like - showing my heritage there & not in a good way. Inside Shoulder, my prediction of Aus v Scots as a tight game is probably more in the 'hope' category than 'prediction' category as the...

Union or League - what did you start with?

I agree Rugger I'm probably more in the "Hybrid" or "Duel" code raised category in addition I played soccer myself for 8yrs before Rugby as it was the only football code I could play at the younger age.
