TRC Round 2: Australia vs Argentina @ Brisbane - Saturday 27 July 2019

The only reservation I have about Jones is that when he had his chance a few years ago, he just did not step up. He looked a bit overawed, frankly. Maybe he is over that. One would hope so.

    Aussie Player Exodus

I doubt that RA would keep him even if we remain unbeaten for the rest of the calendar year!!! His overall win/loss ration would still be unacceptable.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

The Sydney Morning Hurled has O'Connor as a near certainty for the Argie bargie. I must admit that I am all in favour of trying just about anything at this early stage of the year.

    Shute Shield 2019

If you want something for nothing, that is what you will get. Nothing. We are a niche sport, always have been in my lifetime, except for a few brief flashes of relative prosperity. Our opposition has been bolstered for many years by poker machine palaces, and huge media rights deals (in the...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

What is interesting to me is, what will Scott Johnson do if we continue to lose, and when will he do it? His reputation depends to a very large extent on the success of the national team.

    Shute Shield 2019

How on earth does a team manage to get down to 12 men?

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Does anybody know exactly what his contract says? I would be very surprised if RA was unable to show him the door, no matter the result in the RWC.

    Waratahs 2020

He was pretty average at the club level, frankly. I think most of us understand that New Zealand coaches and coaching structures are far better than ours. Nothing to see here, move on please.

    Shute Shield 2019

Hugh Perrett was a great club footballer, one of the very best.

    Shute Shield 2019

Mate, Wests have beaten us everywhere in the last few years. Here there and especially at Concord.

    Shute Shield 2019

Wests will be fired up, that is for sure. I wonder whether Tayler Adams will turn out against his old club?? Maybe his injury last weekend was strategic!!

    Waratahs 2020

On the other hand, Timana Tahu was a star in the other code. Struggled in ours, sadly.

    Shute Shield 2019

Icely and Piukala are both pretty handy first graders, that's for sure. Big losses.

    Reds 2019

FWIW Robbie Coleman looked bloody good for Gordon yesterday in the Shute Shield.

    Reds 2019

They should all have a look at Tayler Adams, Eastwood's 10.

    Shute Shield 2019

Gordon has, allegedly, the largest junior rugby catchment in the nation (according to the ground announcer a couple of years ago). They have had some really good reserve graders over the years, which is usually the sign of a very healthy club. Home grown is a bit of a loaded term, I guess...

    The Rugby Championship 2019

I reckon 8 is pretty much nailed down. What do you know that I don't (could be a lot, I must admit)?
