Australia v British & Irish Lions, 3rd Test (Sydney)

It was the same team that was so solid the previous week - they lost heart themselves.

    Waratahs 2014

Phipps was good on the weekend, was enthusiastic and effective the whole time he was on. I think picking him over White ended up going well in the end.

    Rebels 2014

Because he's a coach who can work out great tactics to play with, just not an excellent skills coach.

    Cheerio Deans

Slim 293 He was involved in 95 and 96, got the head job in 97. That's like saying Steve Hansen has only been All Blacks coach for a year and a half.

    Cheerio Deans

The McCabe will always be at 12 under Deans crap died this series. He could have easily started him there but instead picked his best 12 on offer. 2 years of a lot of games and time with the team, sure, but he'd be facing 20 games at most in the leadup to RWC. That just isn't enough!
  6. RoffsChoice

    Cheerio Deans

Every RWC since professionalism has been won by a team who has been under the same coach since 4 years prior. We have Deans until 2014 basically. That says to the successor "You have 18 games to make your world cup squad." As much as I like McKenzie, I doubt he can make a World Cup winning squad...

    Cheerio Deans

If we change now, we're out of RWC 2015. Maybe even not past the pool stages. Don't take the pile of crap served up by the players today as an excuse to sack Deans. These same players were on par, occasionally better than this opposition last week. It was the players who floundered around...

wamberal that's the consensus around here too. Either the Crusaders or the Bulls to win overall.

    Fantasy Super rugby 2013

Only had one Chief, he pulled a decent 17.

Australia v British & Irish Lions, 3rd Test (Sydney)

Welcome to the forums ShireRugby84 Another Blog, Whiff of Cordite, was talking about how a lot of Irish were refusing to support the Lions now and how hard it is already for Ireland and Scotland supporters to get behind the Lions.

I still remember the interview with Deans post Reds-Brumbies where Deans is very clear. I'll try find a link. EDIT: Link here http://www.foxsports.com.au/rugby/deans-discusses-his-plans/video-e6frf4pu-1226625134983?subcat=1111112040153

I'm going to go ahead and say both have good and bad days, Deans bad days just happen more often and are more noticeable.

    Fantasy Super rugby 2013

Bairdy Coenie isn't 100% reliable, but better than alternatives like Schalk Ferriara. I'd go for Pauliasi Manu myself. I'd go with Deon Fourie over Hika Elliot, he will be playing Openside so he will be more mobile and making more tackles, as hooker in fantasy those 5 extra tackles = 10 extra...

    2013 Rugby Championship draw

Soup level isn't test level, but you're right, he ripped them a new one. On and off though, let's hope (for Australia's sake) he stays on-off.
