    Bledisloe 2 2023 @ Dunedin 12:35PM Sat 5 Aug

Robertson is injured, did his ACL at the end of May.

Assuming everyone else is still available I feel like the ideal would be to play O'Connor and Stewart for half each at 12. Alternatively you could push Flook to the wing and run O'Connor at 13, but it's been a while since O'Connor has played at 13.

That roar article has Hoopert signing with the Force.

No surprises that Zander has been let go, he just wasn't up to the level. Still young though, so if he can pick up a deal in Europe he could kick on in time. Sadder to lose Hoopert but I'm not sure we have room to gamble on his return from injury, at least not enough to meet what he could get...

Force look to have picked up Harry Hoopert from the reds:

Pretty stark contrast to the progess our hookers have made over that time - Paenga-Amosa, Mafi, Nasser and Faessler have all taken big steps forward during their time with the Reds.

    Brumbies 2024

Not sure if he was a full squad member this year, but Jack Wright has signed with Shizuoka:

Looks like the model for a third tier is crystalizing with a meeting of state chief executives this week: https://www.canberratimes.com.au/story/8288231/rugby-australia-boss-outlines-plan-for-radical-new-club-competition/?cs=14240 Can't say I'm particularly excited by this - it looks overly...

Pretty good list though there are barbarians games on in Europe during the world cup with a squad of around 15 Australians expected. So there's a good chance at least a few of Nonggorr, Uru, Wilson, O'Connor, Flook, Paisami and Campbell will be out for at least some of the challenger series and...

    Wallabies 2023

Pone was already in the squad and will either step onto the Bench with Slipper starting at tight head or into starting tight head with Nonggorr on the bench. Most likely the first given Lambert is loose head and will offer cover behind Bell and Schoupp if Slipper moves across.

Yeah, it's nice to not give away two unnecessary yellows.... Oh

We don't need a bigger body at 7 - Hooper's issue was mobility, Leota will have that exact same problem. There are arguments around Holloway/T.Hooper/Leota at 6, particularly given Holloway's lineout work, but our game plan requires a 7 that can get there and go again at pace - we're spending...

I wouldn't mind seeing him swap to 6, Holloway has been below par this year and Hooper's major issue seems to be sticking with the pace of the game required at 7.

I'm all for developing Carter, but Quade clearly offers more off the tee and kicking from hand (though that still hasn't been great)

Arguably Petaia fits that and gets his boot more involved, but I think Kellaway is just short of a run and needs time to settle back into the role. Otherwise I'd prefer we just played an actual 15, but Campbell is the only one available and he wasn't exactly inspiring against Tonga.

Surely the Uelese experiment is done, he has been largely ineffectual and that's probably the best thing you can say about him this year

    Nah, it's Portugal's year
