    Australia v England Test 1 Sat. July 2 @1955

I think for now Valetini and Leota keep Wilson out of the 15 and possibly Samu is a stronger bench option.

It's really time to get back on thread. There is a test series coming up and we are leading in to an RWC with Rennie at the helm of this Wallaby squad.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

It is interesting. If NZ returns serve with a better deal it may well make going solo that much harder. Without it it seems domestic is a potential option. Happy with that.

Yeah, right. Nothing like the franchises in 2022. hang on...

    Australia v England Test 1 Sat. July 2 @1955

Slipper got done over in his last game of Super, by a front row that got done over in the Final. Love the bloke and trust it was a one off, but I'm not taking it as particularly promising to have Slipps swapping to tight head for the English tests.

SO the statement "so the man knows something about Australian Rugby. Isn't it?" boils down to Eddie having the same knowledge as any interested person anywhere in the world with an internet connection? Um, OK.

You're being obtuse. Eddie Jones last coached in Australia in 2007. Yes, in 2007 he knew something about Australian rugby - which btw didn't do enough to convince a lot of people. Hence he sought to further his career overseas, where he has refined his coaching considerably. His strength is in...

This seems more than a stretch. How long since he lived in Australia?

Also being able to lift is optional, but we do have plenty of tricky-dicky line outs that do work - 12% of the time.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Rams was part of the SRC interface to NRC debacle. None of that was edifying. Look, even starting on 8, including say the Drua, it still would be interesting with regard to competitiveness. Think about the Brumby front row and second teams in Qld or NSW. I'm all for it but that doesn't mean...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Hamish has said he believes that there is talent for 10 teams - proviso being he includes overseas based players. He has also said that going forward only happens after discussion with the broadcaster and working through what they are looking for. Whatever path you take going forward, there is...

Line out as well. Line out throw, lifters, jumper, caller. Without excellence here, kicking game works to the opposition. Just rewatch either the Super final or the last Brumbies game.

It's not just about the money. It's also about the future of the game and forward projections in marketing. What is an obvious "best of both worlds" is a domestic comp followed by a TT Champions league. Earnings logically should be equal. Not that it hasn't been proposed previously.

    Reds 2023

Your statement that Korczyk barely made an impact is wide of the mark - to start with. But it's not necessarily the thrust I'm talking about. I thought you had decided not to argue? Either way I'm done with responding to you Adam.

    Reds 2023

I can only find it distasteful to see the disparaging thinking from supposed Reds fans over a player like Korczyk. He doesn't have to have become a major name in Qld rugby history to deserve a modicum of respect. Good luck to him.

Surprising no-one, but pretty painful. This comp is damaging to Australian professional rugby.

Auckland Blues To Infinity and Beyond

I'm not convinced that the line out problem was simply the throw. Whitelock gave a master class in reading what the Blues were doing and got in front of the actual jumper. the first three in the Crusader line out intentionally encroached the gap (did get pinged for it once) squeezing the Hooker...

I'm completely cool with Argentina stepping into Super Rugby Pacific as Aus steps out. In fact I would encourage it. Always like supporting Argie rugby. Doesn't change anything in my thinking as to where Australian rugby should be headed.
