Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

Fair enough, but I still think a down Fardy is better then what McCalman brought last night. As bad as the England series was he's the lesser shit out of of the two. If your gunna go with some-one else, based on last weekends performance, then Mumm is the only man left standing. He was...

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

Foley would make an amazing 12 in my opinion. Very similar skill-set to Horan. First instinct is to run himself and is very good at that, combined with decent distribution skills, amazing support runner. His defence has gotten a lot better but probably still not strong enough for a 12. It's a...

I agree. Time to blood Timani, Colman, Kerevi, Hodge. They are the only realistic options who are in the squad right now. Start at least 2 with 2 on the bench. Hodge on the bench.

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

Focus for players should be on winning the next game. Coaches can think differently. We can't have developing players happy to let the next game go with the chance of winning the next Hell they might not even be selected next game, so that attitude is wrong for players in my opinion. But i...

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

I wasn't a lack of effort that got him dropped from the England series. Or a lack of mongrel. He clearly tried his gutts out in the series. It was a lack of discipline and a few dropped balls, maybe a lack of fitness. Plus he has been a consistent high performer in the past. McCalman has...

That's a poor attitude in my opinion. It's kind of like saying, "It's okay if we loss the next game because we have more chances later". Focus should be solely on winning the next game.

Hopefully rugby sevens was a blessing and he was able to get his explosiveness back.

    How to fix the wallabies

I keep hearing this "we need to manage our expectations". I don't agree. I dont think our expectations on this forum are that high. I think most posters here would be happy with a performance of say our NZ v Aus match in 2013 Dunedin - you know the game where Cooper had a blinder. We still...

Is Poey still here for EOYT or going straight to Japan after RC?

McCalman & Timani are your alternative options. They both have height advantage which makes them slightly better options then Hooper in the line-out. I'm not sure what the status of McMahon is, but he is regularly used in the line-out for the Rebels so is also a better option then Hooper in...

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

Nah I think Cheika will punish the poor performers with changes. It was a record loss after all, not our usual mediocre loss. He hasn't been scared to drop players in the England series (Simmons, changing our locks) , I expect more changes now. Think he needs to throw training performance...

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

Simmons 5 runs for 2m, Missed 1 tackle, completed 11 Douglas 6 runs for 5m, but 3 missed tackles, completed 11. Maybe we should think about dropping Douglas before Simmons? But then again, at least Douglas has in the past stepped up, but Simmons has never. Although realistically Douglas...

Yeh cos Foley is so predictable at what he does. First instinct is always to run himself and if he doesn't do that he'll opt to kick and do that poorly.

Yes Scrubber you were right about Hooper we were wrong. But he is still a quality player, I'd say 3rd best player we have after Poey & Folau, his impact from the bench will be awesome in the last 30mins. We just can't give up the set-peice anymore.

Yes. If Phipp can sort his passing out, hopefully with Bryne's help then that solves a lot of problems - he'll easily be a quality test halfback. But currently that is a big flaw!

Isn't Hodge just a 2013 Godwin. Who was also superb in his breakout year then mediocre the next. Not sure why Hodge would be infront of Kerevi who had 2 solid outtings at 12 in the England Tests - combined with the fact Cooper is likely to be in place of Foley, that makes for a more balanced...

This is also where my expectation are for the wallabies are as well. Sure we lose because NZ just have far greater depth of skill and execution but we put in a pretty damn good crack. 2013 Dunedin should be the norm not the exception.

There's also: TPN - Moore needs to go Mumm - can't believe I am saying this but he's better then Simmons - at least from last saturdays performance. I'd still rather give Colman a shot though Fardy - definitely needs to start. Slipper for Sio
