    Beale to Tahs, where?

Until the injuries start coming you are absolutely right. There is depth right across the line except for hooker. I think Latu will get a spot but who gets the other is more problematic as Latu is a rookie but I don't want Holmes despite his experience. Maybe we will have to go with two...

    Beale to Tahs, where?

If this forward pack is so lightweight how come there is no place to fit Potgieter?

Where did we go wrong? Wallaby Recovery thread.

Mogg's selection in the run-on team was always iffy based on what he had done this season. He had already showed he is just too raw for 15, which is a key position on the team spine. He played all season in a team whose gameplan was based on kicking long out of your own half and was never able...

    Western Force 2014

Maybe the Western Force will become the sixth SA team in the Super comp, seventh if you count the Brumbies. ;)

    Beale to Tahs, where?

With the Uni colts winning by heaps every week even I, at 63, could look good in that team. He needs to be tested in the hottest fire we've got first, sadly enough that's only Shute first grade. If he's not regularly playing first or second grade he should not even be considered for an EPS...

New Zealand vs Australia - Bledisloe 2, 24th August 2013

The newspaper report was that the injury occurred during the Super season and that he is now going for surgery. If true, it says that our medical staff somehow think that seriously injured players who really need a shoulder reconstruction are a good pick for a game against NZ. If the...

Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

Maybe it was due to tapatalk 4 beta (whatever that is), but this comment has me scratching my head. Who is "he"? Genia, White or du Preez? And how does the number of times that "he" passed it bear any relation to how quickly the passes travelled or how short or long the time was before the...

New Zealand vs Australia - Bledisloe 2, 24th August 2013

My only issue with that is that JOC (James O'Connor) would be marking Savea and NZ would immediately switch their point of attack to that wing to take advantage of the mismatch. Better to let him have another crack at Smith.

Lots of people are giving Genia points on the 3-2-1 thread, some even gave him 3! Apart from one exhilarating run, I thought he was awful. Meerkatting, slow, loopy passes - a masterclass it was not. For that we should see his opposite number.

New Zealand vs Australia - Bledisloe 2, 24th August 2013

Strange, but never once did any Super rugby team try to exhaust Folau by running him around. Or maybe they did try but it didn't work. Of all the reasons offered to make Australia's best fullback play wing, this is one of the strangest.

Start Fardy with MMM on the bench. Put Folau to 15 so he can actually get some touches and Honeybadger up against Savea. Bring Cooper on after 45-50 minutes. The rest of the required improvement has to come from: Better forward play, in particular aggression and ACCURACY at the ruck. Genia...

    Beale to Tahs, where?

Firstly I think Cheika will need to do two things - get Beale's head in the right place so he leads a disciplined life and then teach him how to play in a backline again. Both those things will take time. Hopefully the first can be done in the pre-season but the second will require match play...

Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

Someone's got to put some sanity back into the widespread euphoria that seems to have caught everyone like a winter flu. The NZ team is very well coached and they have a history of identifying and using areas of weakness in the opposition. So here's a few I think they'll pick up on: Our props...

Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

Over the totality of the season, (I still can't use that word without choking back a laugh about Totality Tony), you would say Luatua was in better form than Messam. Messam played well in the finals but Luatua was killing it earlier when Messam was quite ineffective. I don't think the NZ team...

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

We should start a vote: What is the worst mistake on the page? My vote goes to Jessie Mogg narrowly from Tevita Kuridrani.

As an AIG shareholder, I am seriously worried that my dividends, which haven't been the greatest for some time now, are being frittered away on an overblown marketing budget in a very small marketplace. :(

Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

There are some strange things about this story: As Pusser says, its now not much of a surprise if its true. If McKenzie is leaving it late to make the announcement to conceal his hand, why would he leak it to a journalist? There is no sense of outrage at the decision in the article at all. But...
