So if we all agree that it will take 12-18 months of dedicated 7's training and playing to make the squad, how many players are going to pass up a chance of going to a World Cup for a shot at the Olympics? I don't think many will, especially since they will likely take a big pay cut to do so.

I'm not sure who is the coach of the Academy in Sydney but in Brisbane Paul Corozza is the coach and does quite a good job from my understanding. He was also head coach of the QLD Academy since Phil Mooney took over the Reds gig so has the runs on the board in terms of developing players.
