Super Rugby - I am bored

I watched 5 of the games on the weekend and they were all pretty dire (missed the Chiefs/Crusaders game). I then had to sit through a game of aerial ping pong at a family do ,first one I would have seen in a couple of years and it reaffirmed how great Rugby is. Rugbys biggest difference is how...

    Tahs v Bulls, round 10 2014

The Tahs are getting poor value from the halves. Their entire attack seems to rely on Kurtley making space and Folau finishing it off. When one is off the attack looks clueless. Foley and Phipps need to do more with the ball.

Rebels vs Force, Round 10, 2014

And then bunny hop to the line for a simple try.

Rebels vs Force, Round 10, 2014

Prior needs to dig more. It's Alby we are missing.

Rebels vs Force, Round 10, 2014

Force will need to improve the speed of their ball recycle if they want to score try's like they usually do. Ball was so slow in that last assault.

Rebels vs Force, Round 10, 2014

Neither team dominating enough to take the ref out of the game. Team most likely to win will be the team who responds to the ref best.

    Worst Commentator Pole Action

The horrifying thing about Kearns and Martin is that Foxsports just don't seem to give a fuck. The fans distaste for them is clearly evident yet they just keep them there. Whoever is in charge of appointing commentators for rugby at Foxsports is asleep at the wheel and should be sacked for...

    NZ Match Reports

That score line flattered the crusaders. No question they were better, but the Cheetahs had tits for hands.

Rebels vs Force, Round 10, 2014

No underdog stratus this week. If the Force are the real deal and deserve to be in the top 6, they should win. Not comfortably, the Rebels are a good team. The Force by less than 5.

    Reds vs Brumbies - Rd9 2014

Uurgh. Had a quite Sunday arvo on, not much to do. I know, it thought, why not catch up on the threads on GAGR. All I can say is if this thread was a horse, the vet would be packing away the 12Ga as we speak.

    Force v Tahs, round 9 2014

Well they really are. Look at what McKenzie basically had to say. Currently I'm not sure anyone except badger would make the run on 15 for the Wallabies. If Palu is injured maybe McCalman at 8. Hodgo might make the bench. But realistically it could also just be the badger in the whole 23. They...

    Force v Tahs, round 9 2014

5 in a row. I'm not gonna lie, as a Force fan I'm a little bit in disbelief.

    Reds vs Brumbies - Rd9 2014

Looking at the Reds backs, they should be doing better than they are collectively. I thought CFS was good last night and is looking like the long term option at 13. Taulangi was only on for 20, but last week showed enough that with the finals hopes pretty much shot he should be given more time...

    Refereeing decisions

Regarding the mauls, what frustrates me is that the team with the ball when they have been stopped are being allowed to swim around the opposition in effect. And I'm not talking about when a maul is turned. The appears to be clear instances of the opposing team keeping it straight and then the...

    Refereeing decisions

Agreed, the one in the Highlanders game was a poor decision to penalise. The player who was penalised had turned his back to the player coming forward and did jump to contest the ball, the player who went down jumped over him and took him self out in effect.

Replay showed it clearly. No grounding.

    Force v Tahs, round 9 2014

Kick it back deep and spend the week at training getting your defensive kick chase line rock solid.

ANZAC XV - Aus/NZ vs the World

It will surely happen at some point in our life times, but I wouldn't be betting on a World Cup year.

    Force v Tahs, round 9 2014

So you liked us when you thought you could beat us every time. Now we are looking like a genuine threat you like us less. Hate to break it to you champ, but on the Red's current trajectory there are probably a few more teams that will be coming off your favourites list.

    Refereeing decisions

Cottrell's is also a matter of intent. Did he intend to shoulder charge and try to disguise it with a soft grappling motion? Or did he actually intend to grasp the player and his shoulder just became the key point of contact and due to the force of the tackle his arms failed to grasp the...
