    Round 5: Rebels v Tahs - Friday 19/3, AAMI Park, 7:45pm AEDT

Got something to do with the fact we were left with three nines in the backline also one try had to be disallowed as it was so blatantly knocked on

    Round 5: Rebels v Tahs - Friday 19/3, AAMI Park, 7:45pm AEDT

The ref was terrible at the game live sitting down the Tahs end in the second half and I could see the knock on from there. What makes it even worse the ground announcer kept replaying it and playing the pink panther track they normally do when there has been a TMO referral. The two assistant...

    Round 5: Rebels v Tahs - Friday 19/3, AAMI Park, 7:45pm AEDT

I can’t wait, what sort of crowd do you think there will be?

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Koroibete first came to Aus to play for the Tigers

    Where to for Super Rugby?

The difference is that Japan are importing kids and getting them to sign to say they will play for Japan it’s discussed on Ocean’s Apart where as Tupou elected to come here as an adult as he wanted to represent the Wallabies. Is it an issue, yes the talent drain for the pacific island nations...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Who’s residency are we waiting on? Look I think with the powerful nations and poaching it’s an issue for the game, we do it to a lesser extent. Japan is becoming the worst. Getting 14 year olds to come over for school and making them sign stuff to say when they become eligible they will play for...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

The changing face of Australian rugby. While I love what they bring to the game I think we have to be careful. The influx of overseas born players signals how poor the pathways have been here

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Look all fan bases have rational fans and irrational ones

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Just like when AB fans still claim they are the best side in the world despite South Africa having the number one ranking

    Rebels 2021

So any updates on injuries and timeframes for these players returning?

    Where to for Super Rugby?

So what? It was 89/90 the last time they beat us in a test series and couldn’t even take one test to the final day last year and make it a contest. Yeah they beat up on the West Indies and a weak Pakistan who was missing Babar Azam at home but don’t let that fool you

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Did you forget the series last year? The Aussie won a Bledisloe more recently than they beat us in a test series

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I have mates who are kiwis and their kids support the Rebels and ABs despite being Australian. While the old man sill goes for his NZ side. On a side note there is nothing I hate more than kids of Kiwis who say they are AB fans and then support Aus in cricket

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Also their is the support for the Rebels look at their first year when people weren’t sick of them losing all the time yet they got big crowds if they won straight away like the Storm did the crowds wouldn’t have dropped off
  15. Rebel man

    Where to for Super Rugby?

That is true and you make a very fair point, but part of the reason Kiwis don’t get behind the warriors and go for the Storm are because the Warriors are shit and the Storm great and well it’s been the inverse in Union

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Further to my last post a lot of juniors also play footy on a Sunday. The more successful the Rebels become the more desirable the idea of playing there becomes and that will help keep more kids in the sport as opposed to leaving for footy

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Look the Rebels have a stronger base in terms a club system beneath them in Melbourne. Also a lot of blokes in Melbourne play union but primarily support the Storm. Now if the Rebels were to be successful then they would win fans who have walked away from the sport back

    Where to for Super Rugby?

But the insensitive is there to have you best side available come finals and if you burn them out in the regular season you cut your nose off to spite your face. Also you would probably see centrally contracted players have similar conditions as they do in the north
  19. Rebel man

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Exactly the money in the game is getting out of hands and players salaries are hurting the profitability of the game.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

But the idea of a longer seasons isn’t to keep flogging the same players. A longer season provides more opportunities to your entire squad you have to build depth to be successful it keeps more players engaged in your program as opposed to not seeing any minutes and looking to leave
