That’s a bit left field in this thread but I don’t think it’s that simple either

Great run by Newsome, didn’t know he had it in him. Butchered by Pietsch

What was the conundrum and what was the solution?

Australian Super Rugby Team of the Week 2022

I'm guessing that's Swinton/Valetini. I wonder what's an appropriate countback methodology, the highest Fantasy score or something?

    Brumbies 2022

I know you think Hooper should be an inside centre instead of a 7, but having him move to the Brumbies to play second row is a bit of a stretch.

Yes he is in general a good, gutsy defender. I just think/hope they opted to give him another week off and see how the incumbents go against a better team, the boys did pretty well last week.

    Aussie Player Exodus

I’m opposed to the fully open borders model, but a couple of marquee players per franchise would be a good thing. The emphasis needs to be on retaining our own players on our shores, stopping them from going to league, and even buying some key players back from both. Do that and we can build...

    Aussie Player Exodus

Shit, seems like he has been around for ages. I’ll rephrase from ‘in his twilight’ to ‘seemingly not in current Wallabies calculations’. As I said though he can still get selected this year and he could do a Leota, having to relocate on $600k per annum is not uncounterable.

    Aussie Player Exodus

This is the world we live in unfortunately, it’s not something that is unique to Australia, it’s the globalistion of professional sport. We are feeling it more because of the double whammy of our governing body having no money, and the NRL and AFL being purely domestic models (well 90% in the...

So it looks like Harrison was available but not selected. Probably wanted to give him another week.

    Australian Rugby / RA

That wasn't actually all that long ago, it used to be very handy if I was on the road while a game was on. I distinctly remember listening to a Waratahs game on the radio while I was following an ambulance with my son in it over to Dubbo one Saturday night (nothing too major). The only reason...

    Are you "Rugby" enough?

Over the last 13 years I can tick all of those boxes with the local club, often many of them in the same season. I am from the country and have 2 boys at boarding school, over the last 12 years thanks to Covid I haven't been able to participate in their sporting lives in particular, along with...

I think I saw somewhere that the Tahs have only played there once and have a 100% success rate, and that it was actually a Rebels home game. The Rebels were pretty much based there in 2020.
