    Television Match Official (TMO)

Ruggo - you nailed it. The Refs can say - try or no try, or did he get the ball down, or anyreason not to award the try, or any reason to award the try, etc. All too vague. Protocol required.

Waratahs V Brumbies. Sydney Olympic Stadium.

Some good reviews on here - cheers Langthorne and Hawko. I really thought that up-n-unders in your own half was consigned to the 2009 dustbin, but apparently it lives on the hearts of a few Wallabies. I would rather have the ball on my own 40 than have a 30% shot at it on their 40. The fact...

    Steve Walsh

    e. Walsh was crap and the teams were crap Just one of those night, though, they'll all be less crap next week.

G&GR Reds Player of the Match (v Stormers)

I dunno. I thought Genia was a little slow at times. However, he handled massive presssure very well. Not M.O.M. but a good performance. 3. SFanger 2. Braid 1. Hynes

Melbourne Storm / Rebels / Waldrom

As I said on the blog, I don't know about Gallop's smarts here. He really went 110% with big statements in the media, very early in the process, maximising publicity for this catastrophe. It has opened all sorts of sores and I wonder of the competition he runs might fall over in the process...

Melbourne Storm / Rebels / Waldrom

Re: Melbourne Storm stripped of 2007 + 2009 premierships This is not a good look. This will take a few days to settle down to see if Waldron or Hansen cops most of the blame. But I suspect that the information released so far points towards both guys going down.

    Toulon

Starts with an Aussie band, then a Maori warrior. Very very odd. Maybe we need a guy playing an accordian with a Gitane haning from the lip.

    Conversation about IP addresses

What is weird is that some of you think I don't run IP checks. Of course I do. On Wazza and on other people in this thread. I just don't publish that information. Knowing what I know, it is very unlikely that Wazza is another poster in disguise. Aside from that, everyone is entitled to click...

    Conversation about IP addresses

Mods asleep at the wheel, eh? Who knows who we'll check out next, boys! We try very hard to be open, democratic and accountable, but not every conversation or decision is made in public. OK?

    Hynes heading overseas?

Can't believe you got me to watch that again. I think I'm bleeding internally.
  13. Scarfman

    Hynes heading overseas?

David, I believe that Hynes is quick enough for FB, but that story sounds fantastical.
  14. Scarfman

    Hynes heading overseas?

I reckon Robbie would love what Hynes is doing at FB at the moment. Making lots of metres on the run-back, but also in a low-risk style - usually gets himself an extra 10 metres, but falls near the feet of his own players, so they can drive over.

    Hynes heading overseas?

Lack of fullbacks should make Hynes a priority. Mind you, I would rank him about the 12th most important Wallaby at the moment, behind props, locks, Pocock, Cooper, etc etc.

    Hynes heading overseas?

Manager of a hair dressing salon? How can the ARU compete with that?

    The Number Eight Situation.

Houston stopped moving at the 60. Tended to be first to the pillor position after that.

    Reds v Bulls. Bris Vegas.

I like to make an apology every year or so, so I might as well bury it on page 11 of this thread. A couple of years ago I was confident that Cooper and Beale wouldn't make it, but Barnes would. I thought the other two looked more like league players, while Barnes was an all-round rugby 10...
