    2012 – ITM CUP - NZ's 3rd Tier Competition

Canterbury and Wellington are my picks this year.

Super Rugby 2012 SF Chiefs v Crusaders

Can't wait for the game. No doubt the Chiefs will have learned a little from the last outing. It will have that added extra with no doubt the AB coaches in the stands watching a few (fringe AB) players closely to see if they will be there for the 4Ns - Messam, Guildford, Crockett, Elliott, Flynn

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

And that ref is...... All the Super rugby refs have shown that they can get both whistle happy or go extended periods of no whistle. Even the ones that people seem to rate - Lawrence: Mark that is :) Jonkers, Joubert, Peyper, White, Walsh, Jackson play it that way.

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

So when Shark forwards were running around and through Reds forwards after multiple phase play, that was the Reds forwards evenly matching them? Also when the likes of Daniel, Bresler etc were able to slow down Red ball because the Reds forwards were either a yard or two behind or not physical...

    QF2 2012 - Crusaders vs Bulls

Why do the ABs need a "fetcher" at 7 when they win turnovers in others ways - including McCaw?? Where does it say the 7 has to be a fetcher, pilferer or any other type of 'er'? McCaw plays the game at a high intensity, he tackles the house down, impacts the game and often has an effect on...

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

Sorry it's Bresler. I had just finished reading about the Stormers on the silverfern and wrote the wrong name.

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

I've really liked how the Sharks pack have played the last month or so. Becker is a much more rounded player this season other than just being a LO giant and good in the loose. He's a dominant player in the tight and does a fair bit of grunt work which I hadn't seen in previous seasons. The...

    Reds v Waratahs Rd 18 2012

Good post. Plus no other international hookers call lineouts. That is left to the locks/loosies

    Crusaders v Force R18 2012

No offense taken Scorz. we've had a mixed bag season but have created a lot of scoring opportunities, that sometimes, not all the time you get a bit of luck. Just like the French :) If it all goes to plan - well the permutations in my noggin that is - a Chiefs vs Saders final could be a possibility

    Reds v Waratahs Rd 18 2012

It's matador defence from the Tahs tonight. 21 missed tackles still with 20 to go.

    Crusaders v Force R18 2012

Getting a little nervy heading into the finals aye Scorz, what with a couple of losses...

    Waratahs 2013

Haven't trawlled through the 30+ pages, but what happened to Stephen Hoiles and the early season link with the Tahs. Is he still around?

    No more SBW in black

Karl - he's not going to League tomorrow, so by the time next year comes around I think some of the "fans" who are moaning will just get on with watching the game. Sure when their team plays SBW's they might get a bit vocal, but I can't see any sort of backlash by players or coaches. I just...

    No more SBW in black

His form definitely warrants selection but I doubt even then the coaching staff say - "hey Kieran you are guaranteed to start at 8"

    2012 S15 NZ Conference

Saders only need 4 points to stay in 4th spot. Even if the Bulls or Sharks get 5 in their local derbies they will still be 1 point behind Saders

    No more SBW in black

And yet he was more prominent in the 2nd half of that 2nd test than Conrad Smith, when the pressure was at its highest.... The other thing is I don't think Hansen would be guaranteeing anyone a jersey other than McCaw (while he is captain)

    Reds V Highlanders Rd 17

    Just not as good.

    New Zealand vs Ireland

It wasn't just Ben Franks. We had 3 loose forwards bobbing their heads up, Woodcock who was struggling in the final quarter, and a locking combination of Whitelock and Williams that has never been the right combo. Ireland made us pay.

    SANZAR v Lions

Houggard well ahead of A. Smith for me.

Wallabies vs Wales - Docklands Stadium June 16

See what are those unions complaining about, unskilled migrant workers are too bad.... :) He can add his name along side the likes of Eales, Burke and Beale for sealing a test win after the 80 with a kick.
