Australia vs South Africa - Brisbane 7th Sept 2013

Honestly if they came out playings like the Reds did v. the Lions I wouldn't even be mad. That was the most entertaining game of rugby I've ever seen. Timmsy did say the Jim M told him that the game plan was 'fast and furious' so I guess we'll see!

    Reds 2014

Does he have the same ability to draw defenders and the playmaking skills that Hynes had though? I thought the same when I saw the signing but those are some creeping suspicions I can't shake. I can't honestly say I've followed Lachie closely over his career though. I only remember him as a...

    Scrum tactics

Last week was the first time in a little while that we didn't lose at least one scrum feed to the ABs. I like the new scrum laws.

Where did we go wrong? Wallaby Recovery thread.

Depends on if they go through or around the line. I'd say wingers get tested more regularly but a fullback can be 'truly' isolated on occasions.

It was bad on both ends and I clear the ball much faster than that, thank you very much.

One thing that's really been concerning me about Horwill as a player (not a captain) is that he's seemingly become prone to making critical mistakes. That is to say he makes mistakes at a lower rate than those around him but oh boy the ones he has made recently have stuck out. There's a pretty...

Feeling like a bit of a broken record here but Hooper will never be an international 6. Too small, too short. You would have to rejigger the entire pack to accommodate him playing at 6 and even then unless you have a freakishly tall 7 or a prop that jumps you've hamstrung your line out by...

Kinda pondering where it came from, we kept Bladesy as forwards coach.

That said, if MMM makes his way back into the side he needs to straighten himself up at scrum time. He was packing with his shoulders below his hips and actually hurting Slipper at scrum time. Luatua on the other hand was putting on a masterclass directly across from him, back as flat as a 2'x4'

Giving the game another casual watch over a few beers (watched it live at 6am and honestly don't remember much detail) and one big positive we can take away is that the height and uniformity with which this Wallabies pack set their scrums tonight was better than it has been in years. About 5%...

Sorry, but I'd have to say it's closer to the exact opposite. Cummins is also a much, much harder runner than Tomane - or at least has been for the past several months.

fatprop I wouldn't be surprised if Wycliff's test career ends this year. Bloke is 31 years old and injured very, very often. FrankLind Pity your boys always manage to throw past form out the window (well, almost always) when the don the black jersey. Yes, I am supremely jealous of this...

What do you make of Benji Marshal to rugby?

Damn. Unbiased opinion but I was getting excited to see the Blues back line running with a 10 like Barrett.

    S18 on its way

NFL teams play many out-of-division as well as 4 out-of-conference games during their regular season. For example, this year the Eagles play the Redskins/Cowboys/Giants once home and once away. They also play the Chargers, Chiefs, Broncos, Buccaneers, Raiders, Packers, Cardinals, Lions, Vikings...
