Rugby World Cup is a Joke!!

I guess WHLNW17 must feel like the full retard after today.

    RWC - Wallabies v Italy - 11th September 2011

Dunno Sluggy. The possibilities are too awful to contemplate. Edit: Cyclo is a mod.

You lost me at the one-dimensional kicking part, jumpers old boy.

    Media Expectations

Mate, if you're genuinely concerned abut the objectification of those blokes then you seriously need to get out more.

Both Slipper and Castro play tight head.

    John Eales Medal

I'm going out on a limb here, sorry y'all. Most of those women are downright scary looking. :(

    RWC - Wallabies v Italy - 11th September 2011

No one is talking about playing B teams here. We're playing players we have to give game time to because it is highly likely they'll be needed later. The chances of us going injury free is virtually zero. Equally importantly, we may not know who our A team is until we see these guys in...

Fair point. Although are Italy as strong as they were?

    RWC - Wallabies v Italy - 11th September 2011

My team: 1. Kepu 2. Moore 3. Slipper (see where he is) 4. Horwill (c) 5. Vickerman 6. Elsom 7. Pocock 8. Samo (doesn't need a rest yet) 9. Genia 10. Cooper 11. Mitchell (see where he is) 12. Barnes (see where he is) 13. Horne (see where he is) 14. JOC (James O'Connor) 15. Beale...

    RWC - Wallabies v Italy - 11th September 2011

If I had a dollar for everyone who said that about some player this year I'd be rich. The word 'fucked' is seriously overused. Even Genia can be successfully replaced.

    ONE TEAM - positivity thread

And if only we'd closed out a few last year, we'd have retained the Bled this year as well.

    Quade Cooper

RH, I see some similarities in the reaction of rugby traditionalists to Quade, and the reaction of cricket traditionalists to the phenomenon of 20/20. I think a lot of the shock is just shock of the new. It's not just the play - Spencer, Larkham and Ella did similar things a long time ago - but...

    2011 World XV

Indeed. It's just a fun thread, and we do have a lot of players with great potential. No one is suggesting that the Wallabies will populate a World XV.

    Quade Cooper

Easily the second best ten on the planet. Can do things in attack that even the best ten can't do. Currently overplaying his hand - needs to settle down. A fantastic member of the Wallabies team, who would be extremely hard to replace. Unlimited potential.

    2011 World XV

An interesting 15, light. I would certainly argue with O'Driscoll: he hasn't been world team standard for a year at least.

    2011 World XV

By the same argument, it's hard to see how McCaw is a sure thing, given the existence of Pocock. Ditto Carter and Cooper. What makes a player a sure thing? Surely it can only be the lack of a direct competitor for the place.

    2011 World XV

I also have quiet hopes for Kepu. I think he'll be a star of the tournament.

    2011 World XV

They say you need five World XV players in your run on team to win a World Cup. Where do we stand? Sure things: Beale Genia A chance of selection: Ioane JOC (James O'Connor) Cooper Pocock Horwill Moore Quietly simmering: TPN Mitchell Well, that's more than five!

SBW set to walk out on NZRU

I'm not talking abut integrity. I'm talking about a reasonable expectation that the contract will be honoured.

SBW set to walk out on NZRU

Absolutely. Players and the managers must plan to fit in with team sponsors. 'Competing' sponsors simply aren't available to do deals with. To feel 'aggrieved' and make demands when something like this happens is just showboating.
