Wallabies v France, Brisbane, Sat 17th July, 8pm

Gee Derpus - I have to disagree there. Go back and watch Bledisloe last year. White was targeted in defence and cost us points. His defence is poor.

Interesting point. Because I coach in the local comp I often get interviewed by the local radio sports panel, which includes 2 former NRL players. They love to have a crack at rugby, as do a couple of my other mates. When I ask them all why they feel so threatened it is funny some of the...

I don’t see how White is untouchable. White might have a better kick and pass (although I though Tate’s kicking last night was good except that one we kicked in attack in the second half). But Tate’s running game and defence do need to come into consideration at some point and his passing is...

Yes - a red card in TT. It then got overturned at judiciary, so I guess you could argue it doesn’t count.

The post game press conference by Rennie & Hooper is well worth a listen.

Interestingly enough when Pocock came back from his sabbatical I though he was outstanding too. It was only when injuries caught up with him he fell away. I wonder if it is demonstration of the value of these guys giving their body a bit of a break.

I agree. Now that we won it is a great story. Still really feel for Marika though.

    GAGR Wallaby POTY : 3-2-1s v France (3)

Sorry. Yes - I was giving the 1 to Lolesio and in the whole schemed of things I didn’t think a bit of praise for Rennie was misplaced. But sure - 3. BPA 2. Lolesio 1. McDermott

I still think it was a very poor decision. Player clearly dropped mate before contact. IMO there was clear mitigation. Yellow - fine. Although I still feel that is a very harsh penalty when you can’t control the actions of the other player, it would be consistent with the current framework...

    GAGR Wallaby POTY : 3-2-1s v France (3)

    3. Dave Rennie 2. BPA 1. Everyone else. But if I’m pushed I’ll give it to McDermott. No wait. Swain. Fuck it. Lolesio. Great pass for the first try. Couple of key kicks in the clutch. Well done young man.

If it’s the one I’m thinking of it was Hooper. He pushed up and pushed the French back inside to the inside defender and then doubled back and won the ball. Dare I say it, it was classic 7 play.

Haha - BR - can’t believe I gave you a mention and you used it as an opportunity to bag Hockings & Blyth. Fuck me mate - just be happy. Your boy did good.

I loved the way he was laying the law down to the others in his third test. Quality player (and a second rower that will keep BR very happy) :)

The systems and processes will take some time. Going from Cheika’s ‘no kick’ policy and barn dance defence to a more rounded game. Not to mentioned the not insignificant changeover of significant players. But tonight was a great step forward. No doubt we’ll have steps back at times, but it was...

I actually think that you can see improvement across the players around the things Rennie talked about.
