    Progression Planning

Hey, I just wanted to say that this is a great thread and upholds all the values of Green and Gold Rugby. Insight, humour, and good temper when we disagree. Virtual beers all round.

chief - the reason Houston is worth a look is that it gives you the chanve to do a straight Palu / Houston swap. With very other selection you need to rethink the whole back 3. Of the two substantial posts, above, I agre with Hawko more than Lee. Mainly I just think that the Micthell / Deans...

    Wallabies v Fiji, Canberra

Re: Wallabies v Fiji, Canberra I think Turner is getting slowly better and better. Like Hynes, I suppose. I reckon Giteau will smash the Fijians and cement his place in the side, so that he can be completely useless in the trinations.

    Wallabies v Fiji, Canberra

Re: Wallabies v Fiji, Canberra I saw him v France (Bris) AND v Scotland (SFS). Both were O for O-some.

I'm with you Mouse. And I blame Deans!

    Wallaby selection game/exercise

I think what will emerge from this exercise is that the general consensus among 5 groups of 3 will not be reflected in Robbie's team. He sees things differently to all of us.

Brown and Hoiles instead of Mowen and Houston. Robbie Deans either knows more than everyone on this board or less. A couple of wow! selections in Chisholm and Cummins, too. I really have never understood what Robbie is trying to do. Not ever. And I don't understand what he says either.

Chris hickey - greatest coach of 2010 (and other awards)

If Robbie resigned tomorrow I know I'd rather have Link than Hickey.

    What position did/do you play?

Nah, it's scoring tries. Chicks, Bruce, chicks!

    Wallaby selection game/exercise

Stannard would be pretty handy at this point

    Wallaby selection game/exercise

Team Wallaby need to read the rules. Mind you, not at the cost of letting a beer get warm.

    Wallaby selection game/exercise

Riddler - your heinous comments are stricken from the record. Get Team Wallaby together and finish the job! Anyway - among the 4 consensus teams, there is a lot of consensus. Interesting that the locks are so easy to pick. I'm willing to bet that Robbie finds a way not to pick this...

Team Wallaby not here yet? I'll give them a minute before looking at what we've done here.

    New Wallaby Ad

Are they suggesting that the old Wallabies sucked? I wouldn't have minded seeing a bit of footy.

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

Re: Melbourne Rebels recruitment: update what you hear Rebs were awesome - lead the series most of the way IIRC. Captain Blood. Hands in the ruck. Quick taps. They were the good old days.

    What position did/do you play?

Does 13 count as inside or outside? Inside, I suppose. But my favourite year of rugby was my last - playing 6/7 for a country team, getting on the bus and travelling to towns with one pub and no hospital (a relevant omission on game day), taking 6 hours to drive home.

3pm Eastern, post here I reckon, as close as poss to 3pm. And remember - selectors have to back each other!

    Wallaby selection game/exercise

Ah, no. You have to submit a team AND not immediately bitch about it. You've got to front the media (the rest of us) and defend it whether you like it or not. Brinkmanship might be necessary, but when 3pm Wednesday comes, you guys need a team.
