    New Zealand v Australia - Auckland - 23 August 2014

Thankfully Messam has a case of the dropsies tonight for us.

    New Zealand v Australia - Auckland - 23 August 2014

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) deciding that he hadn't made an impact in the fuck up category tonight, joining a lot of his team mates.

Simmons back thankfully, and the scrum is solid. Shows what a difference losing a lock can do.

    New Zealand v Australia - Auckland - 23 August 2014

Unlucky not to get a penalty for a high tackle on Folau, but poor work from Carter finding himself wide in the situation then losing the ball. Fantastic counter from the ABs, they are all over this now. On second shot, classic coat hanger from Jane on Folau there. Ah well, that's how it...

Brisbane City vs. Sydney Stars - NRC Round 1, 21/08 @ Ballymore

Paddy Ryan and Tilse got a few good hits on; you could see on immediately on contact when the Stars scrum was just going to shove the City scrum off the ball. Not sure where/why the inconsistencies in the scrums came from/were there.

Brisbane City vs. Sydney Stars - NRC Round 1, 21/08 @ Ballymore

Agree there was a wheel that was incorrectly penalised in City's favour, but I have a different opinion of "completely dominanted". The Stars scrum did "completely dominate" a 10 - 15 minute period in the first half, and put in a few good shoves at other times and were the better scrum. However...

    Watching NRC online...got links?

I believe most of the games will end up being streamed by the end of the comp. Foxtel only gave permission last week (I think someone explained it here, or it was in an article, or maybe on the Foxtel coverage), so teams haven't had time to organise streaming options. QRU, as mentioned, will...

Brisbane City vs. Sydney Stars - NRC Round 1, 21/08 @ Ballymore

Someone needs to tell the QRU press guy that the bonus point rule has changed! Either that, or he needs to take a rudimentary maths class.

Brisbane City vs. Sydney Stars - NRC Round 1, 21/08 @ Ballymore

Apart from his defence - missed tackles and poor decisions. He tended to throw it a bit wide in the first half, but settled down with the rest of the team in the second. I was impressed with the way City changed for the second half, apparently running into the wind too. Stiles did a good job...

NSW Country v Greater Sydney Rams - Saturday 23 August

I think it will take him a while, the NRC and a good pre-season will do him a load of good. May even require club games next year. Reports from his other games back so far haven't been glowing, but that's to be expected.

Brisbane City vs. Sydney Stars - NRC Round 1, 21/08 @ Ballymore

Not only his tackling was poor, but he made a few very poor defensive decisions as well. Not a bad start to the NRC at all. Was a good game until the conditions got the better of both teams.

Brisbane City vs. Sydney Stars - NRC Round 1, 21/08 @ Ballymore

City scrum easily drive Stars reserve front row off the ball. Stars kick the ball out off a tap to avoid a lineout off the scrum penalty, and it's game over. 45 - 20 points, Stars just short of a bonus point. Stars cohesion had the better of the first half, until City rectified some of...

Brisbane City vs. Sydney Stars - NRC Round 1, 21/08 @ Ballymore

Was McIntyre that shocking at tackling in Premier rugby, anyone? Better Stars scrum there, but Betham loses it. Ball must be a cake of soap now.

Brisbane City vs. Sydney Stars - NRC Round 1, 21/08 @ Ballymore

Pouring rain now, horrible conditions. Kerevi drops a pass that was at his feet and looks unhappy. Scrum battle has been fairly even, Stars had a 10 minute or so period of ascendancy at the end of the first half but that petered out. Huge City scrum just drove the reserve Stars scrum...

Brisbane City vs. Sydney Stars - NRC Round 1, 21/08 @ Ballymore

City need another try for a bonus point now, 6 to go. Rain has been coming down and it's very wet and slippery, players going down everywhere. Frisby off for City, he's been very good apart from the usual odd loopy pass and a few average kicks. Anyone know why Schatz was off at half time...

Brisbane City vs. Sydney Stars - NRC Round 1, 21/08 @ Ballymore

Not a big fan of the 3 point conversions, but we will see as the tournament goes on. Most impressive thing for me from Brisbane City was Stiles' half time speech. Nailed their defensive mis-alignment and laziness working around the corner, and also was right with their lack of patience...

NSW Country v Greater Sydney Rams - Saturday 23 August

Not a bad Eagles side, but I reckon the names Rams team is better on paper. The side is largely dominated by Eastwood players. Pretty strong pack, and we get to see the return of Steve Mafi. Some interesting names in the back line, including journeryman Swanepoel at halfback and in-form...

    New Zealand v Australia - Auckland - 23 August 2014

I'd say the replacement Wallaby scrum is a weakness as Cowan struggled abit, and Kepu did late in the game before he was replaced. Crockett I don't think put us under any pressure. I would need to watch again in more to see how much pressure we were under once Crockett was subbed; but I...

    New Zealand v Australia - Auckland - 23 August 2014

Interesting about the talk of our scrum being beaten. I agree it was most of the time AFTER Cowan was on for Slipper. Apart from that, Crockett got one over Kepu and got a penalty, but that was the anonamly. I am sure that a few times our starting front row drove them back, including one that I...
