2013 Queensland Premier Rugby Tipping Comp

Some real issues with my handicaps this week. Should make for interesting tipping. All teams have big starts.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2013

Just to clear things up it's not Sunnybank RSL it's the Sunnybank Community and Sports Club which is the trading name for Sunnybank Rugby Club. I don't think that the club should apologise because they had some members of their board made some risky decisions in the past about where the club was...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2013

Do we need to have this argument again? Explain to me what Sunnybank do that Easts don't that would back up your claim? Apart from being successful.

    Reds 2014

I'm expecting him to announce he is coming to QLD only to end up at the Tah's.

    Reds 2013

I think Scott Allen hits the nail on the head on the podcast. The Reds are using their forwards in a different way in 2013 than they have in the past and it has an effect on the rest of the team play. The exhaust or same way attack was basic but you had to work hard to defend it. As soon as...

ARU Annual Report 2012 & Participation Growth

I had to read it a few times. She was talking up the Winning Edge and how it can help increase participation levels and then doesn't really explain it rather points out some introductory programs like Net set go. In the light of Government policy the ARU annual report is a good document. The...

    Reds 2013

Maybe a backline move would be good too. Even a switch of a blocker play would be nice.

    Reds V Sharks - Round 13

I'd love to see CFS at 13. Would probably have to move Ant to 12 and Taps to the bench on current form though.

    Wallabies Watch

    It will probably go up.

    Chances of making finals

Having a look at it I think the Reds are in a good position. If they can beat the Sharks in Brisbane (their last home game) then I think it will require one win in SA, thinking it could be the Stormers, then they have to beat the Tah's in Sydney in the final round. If they can get 2 wins in SA...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2013

Brother have managed maximum points from all their games this year. They have really surprised me this year, was expecting them to drop out of the 4. Obviously good things happening at Crosby.

    That's what Robbie does too.

My team selection was in jest. I agree with all of your points above.

Ewen McKenzie - Life after the Reds

They've already pocketed around $5M of the Lions funds. I don't think they'll be keen to throw any of the remaining money they make away.

    Wallabies Watch

I was trying to get into Robbies headspace. Would anyone be surprised if he picked that team? His other option is he'll pick a team of rookies so he can lay claim to giving them their first shot at a Wallaby jersey.

    Wallabies Watch

    So the Wallaby team I'm expecting Deans to pick 1. Robinson 2. TPN 3. Alexander 4. Timani 5. Horwill 6. Higgers 7. Smith 8. Palu 9. Genia 10. Barnes 11. Digby 12. McCabe 13. Fainga'a 14. Tomane 15. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 16. Moore 17. Kepu 18. Slipper 19. Douglas 20. Hooper 21. Phipps 22. Beale

Ewen McKenzie - Life after the Reds

I'm with you on this on RedsHappy, I think he needs to go sooner rather than later. I think it would be great to have a new coach for the end of year tour, that's how long McQueen took to turn the team into World Champions. I just can't see him going sooner.

ARU Annual Report 2012 & Participation Growth

The government is clearly focused on participation, without looking at what that participation is. I find the Frontier research most interesting. How will the health bill be reduced by $1.5B through one off "participation"? This government rhetoric is about persuading the uninformed that...

ARU Annual Report 2012 & Participation Growth

An interesting address by Minister for Sport, Kate Lundy, at the Our Sporting Future Forum 2013 last month. I have highlighted a few points that might explain why the ARU are pushing this record participation agenda. http://www.katelundy.com.au/2013/04/11/address-to-our-sporting-future-forum-2013/

Ewen McKenzie - Life after the Reds

I think the Deans decision is a financial one. He would be getting paid big $$$ and it would cost Pulver quite a bit to pay him out. Better to wait until the contract is done and hire someone new. It's not like people aren't going to go to the Lions games because of the coach. I hope McKenzie...
