    Wallabies 2021

Both members of the same U20s side, where Hosea started and Frost came off the bench, and both playing a lot of Super in 2021. Little to distinguish between their respective careers at this stage, but Rennie must see something he likes in Frost.

    Wallabies 2021

The Reds currently can't fit all their Wallabies and local stars in the backline. Why another? Would be better used at another side short of a No 10/12.

    Wallabies 2021

Those who thought Swain did good will be pleasantly surprised by Frost if and when he gets a run. Similar style of player, aggressive, excellent lineout skills and a better ball carrier.

Pretty much agree. Ryan Lonergan is probably effectively replaced by Nic White returning. Three half backs would be sufficient. Lachlan Lonergan's role is most likely tied up with the return of Kaiatu'u. That would give us three hookers too which should be enough. But with Daugunu's injury...

Exempt - in what way Muzza? I understood other States had lumped ACT into NSW in declaring their borders shut.

Apparently Tom Wright, Andrew Muirhead and the Lonergan brothers are now in Canberra. Would it be possible for them, or anyone else from outside Queensland to join the touring squad? I wouldn't have thought so.

    Western Force 2022

Bugger. While he was probably No 3 LHP at the Brumbies, he got a lot of game time due in juries to Sio and Slipper, and on occasions when Slipper played at No 3. I really rate Harry as one of the best of the next generation of props and will miss him. I wonder if the move by half our backline...

? Scrum seemed to go more than ok in the third test with the same second row playing most of the game. Did you not see it that way?

    Brumbies 2022

Which begs the question - just where are the replacements for Pasitoa, Kuenzle and Tapine going to come from? I assume Albert is seen as Fines-Lelaiwasa's replacement. Will it come down to promoting youngsters from the Academy, or others from the JID? Would the likes of Corey Toole be...

And Mack got quite a bit of game time in that role this year. Reckon Jesse could count on some good time too given the incidence of injuries over a season or two.

    Refereeing decisions

I reckon there has to be a big push to ban any NZ refs being associated with any tests involving the Wallabies. This is not an isolated incident.

If this is true, Fraser in particular should hang his head in shame. A real muppet.

Nah, wings adequately covered by Grealy, Creichton, Henry, Flook, Stewart, Droasese and half a dozen other Reds nobody's ever heard of.

The forgotten man is Pete Samu. He makes more line breaks than any of the others, especially now that Wilson seems to be required to play tighter. Having said that, I don't think Pete replaces any of the four being discussed, but he ought to be in the mix when fit again.

Wallabies v France, Brisbane, Sat 17th July, 8pm

The Wallabies were down to 14 men. That had a direct impact on the role of the No 15. He had essentially to try to cover defence for two players. No way would any fullback in that situation blow the house down.

    GAGR Wallaby POTY : 3-2-1s v France (3)

Everyone played good enough to be well in consideration. Hooper was immense and for once looked to enjoy the captaincy role. His decision making was pretty much spot on too. Swain has an unbelievable run on debut. He looked to be the captain of the forwards out there tonight. Called the...

If by some miscarriage of justice, MK is suspended, will he then miss the requisite number of games in TRC? Can't see an argument that he would have been playing club, even if club games go on in the meantime.

Only if I was judging the French team BH. :D

To be truthful, Dct, I was very pleased with all of them, with my only misgiving being Paisami's lack of use of players outside him. Reminded me of the early version of Kerevi. I know Hunter can distribute, I just wish he would sometimes.

Darcy did no more than both Rugby Reg and I knew he was capable of all along. And Swinton really surprised me tonight. The form both were in reminded me of the U20s when they played together, undeservedly as understudies to Hocking and Blyth.
