Gordon posted on socials this past Saturday a photo of him and Matt To'omua about to hit the fairways at some golf course in Victoria. Heres hoping he is back in clubland soon

understand your point here Derpus. But Petaia development timeline was Leaves School 1 or 2 games of club rugby Straight into super rugby. there was absolutely no unearthing of Petaia because he was already an established starting XV Super Rugby commodity once the NRC season started.

no idea, Phil. Educated guess he’s probably nursing some injury or minor surgery and hopefully back soon: my logic there it’s the only reasonable explanation as to why he was left out of the Aussie A’s team (bulldogs biasism of course)

Veresa Mataitini made a switch from Reserve grade eagles starting for GPS premiers today? that’s a interesting mid season switch. Hadn’t been factoring into eagles premier grade… think he will bag a lot of tries with that GPS backline. I predict a double for him today.

locks are always the most suspect to be lost overseas. You can’t teach height. Faifua is off contract this year (as per the 1st page of this thread) might be worth locking him up as a aus u20. the guys in clubland who have impressed me (as lock depth for reds) are Angelo Smith of Wests, Zac...

Good to see Uru and Daugunu back playing club rugby this weekend. Wonder if we will get Hamish Stewart for brothers and Campbell for the heavies?

    Rebels 2023

why isn’t rebels entering a team in qpr a realistic option? All the fringe players could build combinations (which some are doing at wests) I think if the financing/scheduling is achievable you could have rebels team playing Queensland team every second weekend in Melbourne footy grounds and...

Did they not lose consecutive titles to the crusaders until finally winning in 2004?

    Rebels 2023

Yes and this is how the rebels could improve their own team and local competitions by having a super rugby quality team playing in a tier3 rugby comp. The ideal scenario is the NRC but I believe this is the best path forward. (Getting cattle exposure against legitimate competition)

The brumbies didn’t get over the hump until 2004 (their last season/Vikings in QPR) there’s definitely other reasons for their success (great player signings/good coaching etc) surely you wouldn’t disagree with the statement that “qldpremierrugby was beneficial for brumbies fringe squad members”

    Rebels 2023

Do you want the rebels to get better? Sending your cattle down to Victoria club rugby wont help with their development. I admire what Foote/Stiles are doing with rebels players in QPR (because they are swallowing their pride for the greater good of team) One of the reason why the brumbies...

FMD. Your UQ bias on full display here talent finder Only genuine chance I see for a World Cup bolter would be Ripley. The other guys would need monumental u20/AusA/superrugby2023 seasons to even come into the equation and unseat the other sure thing candidates.

think we will run them off the park in the final 20 minutes of a game. Tier A teams usually have elite fitness & discipline - the pacific nations… not so much.

Who are all these flyhalfs being named ahead of Carter Gordon??? Donald’s? Meded? did we not learn anything from Bernard Foley/Michael Hooper/Ned Flanagan how the NSW Warranty players are always overhyped from the interstate counterparts? clearly NSW toxic political influence in Australian...
