Australia A v Japan XV matches

Possibly in Japan a fast strike is standard? But yeah.

Australia A v Japan XV matches

Commentators got the call wrong. No strike was the call. Pretty unusual but possibly correct.

Yes, sharper than the first half and looking good.

    Japan have had a penalty - A 15 - 11J

Australia A v Japan XV matches

You enter with bias. Vunivalu is mainly chasing the high ball - too much as you say. Also playing him into traffic. He's dangerous wide with space but things are falling apart with slow ball from 9 and unconvincing work in the centres. V has had some loose passes that look like the receiver...

    Australian Rugby / RA

I really like the way RA are handling this, 10/10. The tensions come as NZR attempts to push RA towards signing a private equity deal with Silver Lake. After a year of negotiations, the NZR signed off on a $AU180m deal with the US firm. A number of other unions, as well as the Six Nations, have...

I'm confusing the reference. Do you mean an RSA style open side flanker or blind side flanker?

Pretty amazing where Bell is at. Hard to believe he is only 21. That said, he does need to start focusing on the scrum. His general play is superb.

Yeah, realised after saying it that I would offend someone. Hey I just didn't notice him enough and had to look up his name/number at the end of the game. Happy to take your correction.

Always amazes me when two people can look at the same thing and have different views. Thought the guy was electric, enough that on a couple of occasions he was in danger of being isolated due to the support not anticipating how far he would get. He also flunked in position in D more than once.

    Nope, nothing.

Australia A v Japan XV matches

Thoroughly enjoyable game to watch, excellent work by Aus A against a peer at near test level. Still feel that we need better consistency in the set piece and there were plenty of stretches where we just didn't muscle up enough in contact. The Japanese play an entertaining game that can get...

This presumes that everyone knows how to say his name in the first instance. ;)

I would think you would at least consider private funding to cover the Kerevi topup. Those funds won't be available for the next generation with no name yet. RA spends the funds there while looking for help with Kerevi.

Lillicrap has moved on. If Thorn is the set piece guy, with or without the Crapper, at least recently it aint good.
